$45 is a rip.
i made a tshirt for $8 last year in art
pretty much the same, all it is a $4.99 white tshirt from kamrt or anywhere, and some special printing paper you can iron on the tshirt.
whoever this person is, is making a good $35+ phopher per tshirt!
Expected photos on Tees at the very least! Can go & buy a $10 Tee & get printing done cheap = $18 !!!!
buy some iron on T shirt paper to put in your pc printer and you can put anything you like on a T shirt and will cost one tenth the price.
I've bought cheap tee shirts and iron on transfer material and made t-shirts with pics off the net for around $10 each.
all good options, if you like cheap looking t-shirts that are lucky to last one wash
Actually, the transfers I've made have all been of professional quality (not my opinion, btw) and have lasted over 6 months each with no visible fading, warping or cracking wash after wash.

If you use quality materials, you get quality results.

Officeworks or any half-decent stationary suppliers

Might be the sort of thing you could save a few bucks by checking out on Ebay
