Dear GT
I sincerely hope your duly embarassed. You of all people, should know the type of man/player Robert Harvey is.
Your comments were nothing short of muck racking to further inflate your somewhat out of control ego. You showed zero respect for a player you were intimately involved with football wise.
You were not only stating your opinion, you went further and wrote him off. Oh how clever it was for you to see the "signs" he had had it last year.
Anyway, I was always a bit ambivilant towards you, and thought at times have suffered some unfair attacks, but I have learned a great deal about you through your comments.
The egg on your face gives me chills of pleasure.
And Dermie, your a prize clown.

Harvey was hopeless tonight
Clearly the game has passed him by
As a midfielder he is meant to be a playmaker
He is meant to set up goals
And he is meant to be fit enough to run out the game
Time to retire him now before he embarasses himself and the club any further.

When Harves set up Milney, and Milney goaled
The Trevor Barker room just erupted in chants of "Har - vey Har - vey".
He must have set up about 8 scoring shots for us tonight.
Hopefully that will eradicate some of the pain he (and we) felt at that ground in that fateful Prelim again Port in 04.

And it will, because a man that is meant to bleed for the club wants to bleed the club dry.benengel14 wrote:Let's just hope that the $350-odd thousand doesn't end up as a direct transfer to GT's bank account.
As I have said before "" thanks for the 5 years, now rack off"
Some his comments in the past 12 months have done nothing but annoy me and work up alot of the saint supporters.

Immediately following his dismissal, the footy show interview of GT, and his other media interviews he portrayed himself as a very loyal club man who would still support the club regardless of being kicked out.Dal_Santos_Gal wrote:And it will, because a man that is meant to bleed for the club wants to bleed the club dry.benengel14 wrote:Let's just hope that the $350-odd thousand doesn't end up as a direct transfer to GT's bank account.
His behaviour speaks louder than his words ever did.
To reject several settlements from a club whom he once personally convinced our best players to stick around despite their understated financial value, I feel very silly believing once in his integrity as a coach/person.
But I don't know the full story behind the pending litigation, it's likely I'm judging him too harshly.

Perfectly summed up IMO. Its pretty clear to me that if you meant to love the club as much as he has stated, why would you take it to the courts.
It does not sit well with me one little bit.
Its not like he is short of a penny considering the money he was earning as a coach. If he is hard up then its bad management by him.

Though I am a bit sheepish about the continued attention St. K fans pay to GT. He's paid to do something he's very good at. Talk cr4p.
And if he wants to convince the rest of the footy community Harves day is past allowing him free reign, well, I say let him.

I would like to say to Mr Thomas
Thank GOD you no longer coach this fine club. I still maintain if we had a decent coach in 2004 we would have had celebrated a flag. Thank god we have a coach that understands football is a game and not a buisness and that Robert Harvey can still make players half his age look foolish.
I would also like to thank god for Ross Lyon. For his gameplan (any gameplan is still better than none), for rating ruckmen and not glorified defenders playing in the ruck, for recruiting players for their skill and not their story, for not being a walking headline, for not thinking he is bigger than the club, for being a coach and JUST a coach, for having conventional methods and most of all FOR NOT BEING GRANT THOMAS.
