Can't agree re Hamill. Was a great player when fit .Offensively and defensively off the ball was a good as anyone going around.Had great leadership abilities as well.Unfortunately he paid the price physically for his tough approach...overated no way!

Micky Martyn was considered a good honest battler as wes...so I would say he wasn"t overated either.

Easier to think of underated players like Sam Fisher.,,Maxi etc

Aren't you in a state of 'self imposed orgasmic euphoria' now that your Captain (blues blood has always run through his veins!) has actually played some minutes for your beloved team?

I'm sure you'ld have much more fun posting on Tanking Carlscum today.
Afterall, you could get into a discussion as to how much cash you should put into Juddy'd brown paper bag for yesterday's performance.

Past: Hird. I'm not saying he's bad, just overrated. The media and supporters beat him up to be the greatest yadda yadda...
Present: Franklin. He's a glorified Guerra, quiet most of the time but explosive. But Guerra can kick straight.

Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"

Nick Dal Santo, especially from some of the forum members here.

Perhaps not "most" overrated, but certainly one of the few current saints that are overrated. Gilbert too, "potential" is a dirty word.

Vote number 3 for Judd.

Yes, he is a good player, but clearly not as good as made out to be.

For our troll thread originator: I'd be more worried about Judds back than his groin this year - he'll have to carry you a looong way.

Most over rated player of all time has to be Eddie McGuire.
He's won countless matches, even premierships for Collingwood, but he has only ever been on the ground after the match was finished.

Most of the overated players are from the successful clubs.

Glen Jackovich springs to mind instantly, good honest footballer, but sh#t the media overrated him. Had some good tussles with Carey, big deal, overated majorly

Kernahan, horrible kick, very good player, but they talk about him as an all time great, wasn't half the player as Loewe who was maligned???? At times in the 80's many had him ranked above Lockett, what a joke!

Silvagni...full back of the century, pfft, please, wasn't even the best full back in the comp let alone century! Possibly the most overated player of all time in my books, plus he had the title of worst special comments man ever on ch10...sorry no he doesn't get bonus points cos he's with us now

Anthony Rocca...what a flat track bully at best he is. Tarrant was much the same, not a superstar's a$shole!

Shaun Rehn-all the media had him at number 1 for a while, perplexing?

Adam Goodes-it's not his fault that he's won 2 brownlows, but the worst dual brownlow medalist there is,and the scary thing is,the way the umps love him for getting a whopping 17 touches a match that are all uncontested out on the wing/half back flank,he could win more yet... His parent's have nude photo's of the AFL commision..

Gavin Wanganeen- Didn't deserve his brownlow, diesel should have won that one by a mile and was blatantly robbed! Wanganeen was a dirty little sniper

Many many more, but these are the one's that spring to mind first

Nick Stevens

GOP at Port Adelaide, looks good only because he is at Carlton. Judd will show just how bad he really is even when only half fit.
