Pecko’s Corner
Hope the Christmas and New Year break has been a safe and happy occasion for you and your family. I would like to welcome you to the 2008 pre-season at the Mighty Bulls. Training kicked off on Friday 18th January. Pre-season training is currently being held at Ballam Park on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays with a 6.15pm Start time.
The Sports Injury Clinic conducted a comprehensive fitness test for our players last week with some very surprising results. It was a great opportunity for the players to see where they are at and where they need to improve over summer.
Numbers at training have been encouraging (with a number of new faces) however; it would be great to see more blokes at training. So stop thinking about it and get down to training now!
There have been a number of changes for the better during the off season and as a result I am looking forward to the exciting challenge of achieving even greater things in 2008. A welcomed appointment is Brad Clarke as coach of the Reserves. Brad is a highly respected member of the KFC who will provide excellent leadership both on and off the ground for our players. Also, Craig Shaw will continue solo as U/18’s coach and will again be looking to develop our younger Bulls for senior footy. Jason Hammond will continue his role as Assistant Senior Coach while I am wrapped to have Mat Jakobi step up as an Assistant Senior Coach also. It’s great for the club to have such quality people taking on such important responsibilities going forward.
We are committed to working hard as a tight group this year. I have no doubt that we will reap the rewards of completing a tough, demanding, exciting and challenging Bulls pre-season which will set us up for Round 1 and right through to the FINALS.
Go Bulls

awesome guy, the best speech I have ever heard was his when accepting life membership from the saints at an AGM, talked about how he had wasted so many years and managed to turn it around. Great role model for anyone out there.
