Out of interest and not hanging sh1t dools, how come there was no banner for the boys at Manuka?

It was really weird being there and just seeing them run out to the (softly played) song with no banner.

not enough people went up for the game. we are saving our money for the games that matter.
did the cats have a cheer squad? banner? i was away for the weekend and didnt watch the game, but my mate told me that they had floggers, flaggs and all of it up there...is he just being an idiot or serious?

Your mate was serious.

Cats had a lot of support, banner, cheer squad area etc.

I also put a lot of their support though down to the fact they're the reigning premiers.

Was great to see our sales tent was busy after the game - probably sold a bit to people who were wavering up there. All good marketing.

haha
thats a good effort by the gfc cheer squad, but we will only ever have banners for the TD or Skilled stadium NAB games.

Not knocking it dools cos I don't rate the NAB cup myself - it's great to watch our kids run round - great to see our seconds beat their seconds.

It just looked odd our boys running out to the (quiet) song and having no banner to run through.

Out of curiosity, what was the R1 banner? I missed it.

Mine this week:

To make the final
Of the NAB Cup
We'll ground the Bombers
And the Saints will "fly up"

Its pretty crap, but thats the best I can do this early in the morning.

The roof is closed
The goals will rain
Time for the Saints
To inflict some pain

The NAB Cup is a farce
we're just here for fun
we would much rather beat
Sydney in Round One
