Has to be VR. Surely we dont need 4 ruckmen. But then again knowing our luck with injuries also knowing who our ruckmen are!

Absolutely wrapt - just wanna see new guys - Allen and co...looking forward to seeing Jack Stevens et al.

I like using this to help give the kidsa taste for the big time - Id rather that than waste 5 yrs, giev them no chances and decide they dont cut it then (see Brooks).

Theres 17 who will easily hold their own, not a bad sign i would have thought, then we have the excitement of the unknowns.

Shows how the club has worked on our depth.

Add Lenny, Bally, Roo, Schneider, Maguire just to name a few.

No mattter how i look at this season i'm bloody excited!

People who say their wrapt?

Every season we are just 'resting' players for the first week of NAB.

Their obviously not all fit.

"Oh they've still got 4 weeks to get right"

getting sick of the same thing each and every year

Hey, the injury list is better than when we played Hawthorn mid last year.
Then 17 players on the senior list were unavailable (one due to suspension). The only available senior list player who did not get a game that week was Phillip Raymond. He must have been pissed off. Two temporarily elevated rookies got to play ahead of him (Attard & Jones). Then he got cut without ever playing a senior game.

This game there are only 15 senior list player not selected with 4 rookies chosen.
Gram, McEvoy, L. Fisher , Hayes, Baker, Riewoldt, Schneider, Ball, Goddard, Gilbert, Ferguson, Dempster, Maguire, Gwilt, Connors all non starters.

What is the problem guy's.
The glass is certainly half empty with some posters isn't it.

This is a better team than we managed to field under most of GT's reign.

I am looking forward to Dal and co receiving from King and Gardy.
Seeing new kids from this years selections along with Armo, Howard and Allen etc. Bring it on!

Please may we win and start the ball rolling on Wallace getting the ar@@.
He bagged Frawley and look at the draft picks he has had since and what he has achieved at Richmond since taking over. Pathetic!!

geez probably might loose
but we still have 16-17 odd players who can more then hold there own
plus we have players such as armo geary allen who can all play
rix can play key defence (we have like 7 ruckmen playing)
so i dont see why we cant win
and boys its only nab
its here to try a few things differently, usually dont mean s***
look @ carlton 2 nab wins in the last 3 years
an i think they've finished bottom 3 in all those years
anyways im off to school have a good one fellas
and CARN THE SAINTERSS

The tigers will be up and going hard....would be a very good scalp for the young guns to pick up   .....cant wait for tonight..... :D :D :D
But its all about Round 1.......Round 1

the thing that excites me is that they are only playing guys who are 100%, meaning king and m gardiner are fit. that's fantastic. i just want them to play the game out.

lyon is obviously taking the same attitude towards NAB cup as the rest of the coaching fraternity.

no time for panic.

still a precautionary measure.

players play their whole career with tendonitis, dependant on how serious it is.

the only concern i see in that article is probably dempster.

I think you mean Dempster..

"Dempster has needed knee surgery and will miss three to four weeks"

Whereas with Roo..

"According to a Saints media release, Riewoldt's corked thigh has resulted in knee tendonitis and he will be out of action for a fortnight."
