Are you talking about the "Patriotic" Premiership in 1940 ?
A one day carnival event to raise money/morale for the war.
We beat Richmond.
Captain - Stan Lloyd ?

I don't think this one is going anywhere.

Peter Everitt, Shane Wakelin, Joel Smith and James Begley are the only players who have which two St Kilda-related facts in common?

They were all "Rising Star" Nominees?

The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Correct.

They are the only saints players who won a rising star nomination and later left St Kilda.

He was easy to forget and you have to be old enough to forget him! He only played two games and didn't t turn up at Adelaide until many years later.
