New banner for saintsational - entries wanted!

ooh thanks for that reply, i can see on the black background that their faces need a little clearing up. Too many issues with using the current text, so i'm scrapping development of that.

Update, i'm done for the night. Constructive criticism welcome. Especially on the 'footy crowd' background and gilbert tackle. Working off the default font set, so if anyone has any font recommendations, please do.

Current WIP. I think it can look really effective, just needs some cleaning up on the edges.

Just a suggestion..

Perhaps the actual banner graphic and text need to be about St Kilda rather than featuring the two players..after all the Forum is about the Club as a whole...the "sponsored by" can be added underneath perhaps?

Might be something at your end, I can see it no problem. It might be photobucket.

I saved it a lower res for some reason, forgot to change the default settings back.

Still wanna fix it up though, not really happy with it.

That's why the portraits weren't made to sit at the front of the text (or beside on their own) on mine. In fact, i went for the look of them "peeking" over the text.

are we supposed to be keeping the same font as the current banner?
if so, what is the font called......

and what are the size restrictions.... can the banner be longer or taller or would that interfere with the operation of the actual forum? or too hard to implement?

If the background is still staying black then i would suggest that most designs have a black edge so it doesn't look like a pop up. but that's just my oppinion.

i like Otiman's first one on this page, theone where there is no flying gilbo'son the banner, but i think we should see the faces a bit better, but apart from that its got my vote!

I still love the current font, but not in the profile of a white background.

The background is grey but the font background colour is black and to me it looks crap....

Sorry Damien but yeah it looks fine with the standard option of viewing but maybe those looking for the new design might what to look at how it looks with all the profiles of viewing

This is pretty good but too red & white....needs more black..perhaps replace the white parts top and bottom...or a black background behind "Proudly sponsoring etc...".
oh and i prefer it with Kosi instead of Joey...
