Wait, wait, wait.

Wasn't Corinthian doors i.e. JW announced a month or so ago, and we were waiting on the announcement of the major sponsor which is an international company that everyone would recognise?

Not that I'm disappointed or anything, it's great to have JW on board, I just thought we were waiting on something new and hush-hush.

Yeah I know, but I thought there was an additional secret sponsor we were yet to find out about. Haven't we known about JW for ages and there was something yet to come? Perhaps I'm crazy, anything is possible. ;)

"Announcement" of Corinthian Doors (Jeld-Wen) sponsorship was through an article about the club in The Age which also mentioned the payouts (provision for payout) to Grant Thomas and Aaron Hamill. The Club until today had not officially announced the deal. Link to the article is below

it wasn't announced- a journo included it in an article - Corinthian is part of Jeld-Wen which is the much bigger international organisation.

"Building products". Sounds like we'll be needing them very soon.

Could we possibly get a discount on our new ground if Jeld-whatever build it?

Better than Linen House, unless we wanted a fort made for pillows, I guess. :?

Look, as long as we are not sponsored by a Cancer Stick company I couldn't care less who is our major sponsor.

Show us the money, that's all that matters re sponsors!!

Speaking of money....as JW is now a sole sponsor replacing two co-sponsors....does anyone know if JW are kicking in per year more than the previous two?

Very, very lucrative I hear - don't know the exact amounts, but the guy I was talking to is a close friend of an exec in our new sponsor company. It is the biggest sponsorship the club has had apparently. Any of you more informed ppl around to confirm??

If you take the 'press release' at face value thaen it would also need to be more than those 2 as it is also encompassing the old 'British Paints' sponsorship of the coaches box and the 'coaches collar' sponsorship.

It would appear that Jeld-Wen are taking over a whole raft of sponsors?

I don't quite understand why no figure has been mentioned publicly as it seems the normal procedure for Clubs to 'trumpet' how well their respective sponsorships are and mention the maximum $ involved.

I'm tipping it's greater than the amount being put in by sponsors when the new board took over because we had no (major) sponsors.

This is great news, our house is getting in order, now for the on field results. I hope the lads work their a@ses off this summer and, with all due respect to the Injury Gods, realise their potential.

awesome news if true for a club that struggles to get revenue through the door.

$6m over 3 years.
Bill express and vodafone was well short of that...even adding the coaches box and collar.
Creates competition amongst other sponsors who wanted a part of the major sponsorship, so that's great too.

I just looked on the Club's site and it appears that British Paints, NEC, X-box, The Age and Skins are still second(?) tier sponsors. Thta's fantastic if that's still the case.

Does anyone know if they are all still on board?
