Robert Harvey- Simply the best
Last time I submitted anything to the club it came back as the Number 2 option to 07's jumper.
It was exactly like this, and was done in 2003 in MS Paint.
I use Illustrator now and can make them look a bit better.
(I am also partly to blame for the incorrect 2005 Heritage jumper, which had wider stripes than it should have. I sent two drawings to the club's museum, but had to check with Russell Holmesby as to which one was correct. We agreed that the thinner stripes were correct for the 1915 jumper, but the club used the wrong drawing of the two I originally sent and the manufacturer made them with the wider stripes.)

It makes it easier for ya to draw for ya site.Mero wrote:The thing I like about it, and I won't be claiming it as my design, only a rte-colouring of an existing StKilda design, is that it's relatively normal.
No weird SBS stripes like Port use, or faded logos like the 07 Clash jumper.
It's just a vee and a yoke and the StKilda logo.
(I remember you complained about Port's last clash jumper)
Too lazy to update my username

As I mentioned above, this is a traditional design with a re-arranging of current club colours.
Well, yeah, there's that too.Saints-06-Premiers wrote:It makes it easier for ya to draw for ya site.Mero wrote:The thing I like about it, and I won't be claiming it as my design, only a rte-colouring of an existing StKilda design, is that it's relatively normal.

But really, what sort of self respecting footy supporter wants to wear a jumper that looks like a wetsuit? Or has a photo of a lightning bolt on it?

historically Saints only had a V for just under 2.7% or 3 years of the clubs history... I don't know if you could necessarily call that traditional or heritage. It also doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do for the saints future but i suppose that's subjective and up for peoples discretion - or club management..
It seems that the majority of people on this forum do prefer simplistic designs. I don't know if this is because of tradition or because the guernsey manufactures find it hard to include detail.
This isn't factual at all but i have found that the simpler designs have been liked by the older generations, whereas the Y Gens would appear to prefer a new approach. Please correct if i'm wrong. If you're over 30, what designs are you leaning towards? simple - new and smart...
Found this:
Generation Y presents both a challenge and an opportunity for today’s marketers and retailers. Since brand loyalty is not considered a strong trait among the majority of Gen Y consumers, companies that once held a competitive edge based solely on their brand portfolios are likely to feel pressure from new companies rolling out products popular with Gen Y’ers.
Gen Y’ers are not yet set in their ways of doing things, and they are seeking out first-time products that represent their individuality, in terms of color, style and/or design. They also are likely to be attracted to “smartâ€

I am 17 years old and I prefer more tradtional, basic designs.
I know what you are saying but I think there is a time and a place, I think on the football field designs should be simple more often... Personally I like you design but I don't think that other team's supporters would be able to tell what it is....
It would seem that West Coast agree with your thinking and strongly support moving forward and that is one of the main reasons why I support simpler designs.................

i really do like Drew.Evans designs.
they are not simple jumpers, and thats exactly what i like about them!
i do like the Cross clash jumper, but that is good and simple, i like the more creative designs, and cant get enough of Drew.Evans and Mero's!

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
Love the White-Cross Bun design
