I like the jumper too, but it looks very similar to our tri stripe.
what is the point of having a guernsey which is almost identical?
And yes I understand the arguments about but that is good etc, that is our herritage, but over time we've changed the strip a number of times it is part of developing.
It is also about selling guernseys like the football clubs in the UK do, where you're always looking for different ways to represent your club so that people will buy more guernseys.
Anyway, just throwing it out there, I was really hoping that this would be an exercise is creating something exciting and new, something that says this jumper is the one that we've created for the season where we will acheive ultimate sucess.
I for one am not looking for a guernsey which is merely a slight adjustment of what we already have, lets get creative ffs.

Im also a fan of doing something with the cross re: Drew/Armoo designs.
I also think the mascor]t needs an overhaul....we should play on that medieval theme.....maybe a knight in amour suit for Kosi.....and as we run on the field we ditch "oh when the saints" and move to some Gregorian chanting?

yes and somehow I still reckon Kosi would trip over only to have the sword go through his collarbone or something freaky like....karnak wrote:hehehe,
very funny! must admit though 35000 fans all chanting at once would sound fantastic imo.
hehehe. would be hilarious! wonder if we could bring drums/bongos into the stadium?
Touch of carry on camping here...

Not bad,
but I think that it is too similar to our current clash. I dont feel that the shield works on the front of the guernsey in its pure form.
the proportions of the shield mean that it can't be enlarged to cover the enteire guernsey and still be 'shield form'
Hence why the current shield is so little in proportion to the guernsey, it is meant to be the focus, but doesn't hold the power needed.
I really feel for this reason we head down the 97 type path if we want the cross in more simple form,
or we take on something a little more original and abstract.

now that would be power............it would be taking it a completely different level. The interesting thing about this i think is that the saints song has been around for years so obviously everyone knows it, but it's not ours distinctively. i don't know whether a change of chant to a Gregorian chant would necessarily be accepted, but i think again from a marketing perspective that it would be brilliant. You wouldn't even need backing music. That would reach world news for sure. You probably wouldn't need drums as stamping would be plenty strong enough in a semi auditorium atmosphere... Although if everyone did it at the same time the stadium could collapse through oscillation...haha - that wouldn't be funny actually. - least you could then sell saints drums as well... just import them and place a saints seal on it...at the same time sell stkilda cloaks so whenever we win we all put our hood on, face the floor and chant away.... getting carried away. I'm in the process of coming up with some alterations and will post them up sometime tomorrow. Some more traditional others not so much...appreciate the feedback given so far.
If it's in honour of Kosi, I'm thinking something like the monks in Spamalot/Monty Python and the Holy GrailTeflon wrote:Im also a fan of doing something with the cross re: Drew/Armoo designs.

Yeah on the logo, I also don't believe that it should be the main focus point of our jumper, that is what I didn't like about this year's clash jumper, even if the logo wasn't faded I would have hated it...

I made a mock up jersey of what we could be wearing if we move to the Gold Cast
As for the chanting, I'm all for it!!

Lol, back to the good old days of wearing Red,Black, White and Gold...
I didn't mind the one that we wore for heritage round a few years ago but I don't think that I would like to see us wear that combination on a too regular basis

I like this quite a bit, I think it look decent even with the white and red reversed.Mero wrote:
Well, it's no longer a Heritage style jumper, and it's a brand new design, but I guess it's the club colours in a traditional design.
I like the white jumper you made as well, I think it would look better with solid black rather than the gradient.

Would love to know what people think of this design. Slightly altered version of the black/red stripes from the first design [set of 3] - the curve of the first red 'rib' is supposed to be shaped so it represents the shield but it would probably have to be longer for that to occur. Like those illusions where shapes are visible through deduction or something like that.
And of course that's what it could look like if it was worn...- Is it the valley of the shadow of death.. - hehe
karnak, you also made a suggestion about changing the colour of the 'sword' to red and extending it... I think in most peoples eyes that this could become a little satanic. But perhaps i can work with it anyway to steer away from that idea.
Thanks
