Post: # 496682Post Leo.J »

Any news on BJ?

If he can have an impact this year it will be really handy, as there are no guarantees post ACL reco.

Sorry if there are any recent threads regarding this.

so he hasnt started running yet... as in, in general, or at pace with the rest of the crew... Surely he would be running generally now. If not, much of next season doesnt look good...

BJ is going to be a 250 game champion for us.

I feel sorry for him if he isn't up to his brilliant best as soon as he runs on the track, as idiots will be calling for him ot be traded for a round 2 pick.

come late in the season or 09 we'll see his full worth.

champion player.

Lenny did his knee in rd. 9 season & BJ did his rd. 7 this year. Lenny was allowed to run in Nov. last year & was back playing in the NAB cup challenge, so you would imagine that BJ should be on a similar time frame, assuming there are no setbacks. :?

from memory lennys knee was a gradual cause...ie there was no sudden impact which jolted his knee

Did Lenny play in round 1 this year?

Thanks for the info folks, I must admit I was hoping he'd be a little more advanced in his rehab. Better to be safe than sorry I suppose

Totally Unnecessary to answer this thread with a slight on fellow posters....

Maybe it's a posting style........

BG took awhile to fire first time around, hopefully this time it will be different.

the fact that he is playing golf says to me that it is coming on ok, as there is a bit of twisting on both knees when you swing

huge whole in our side without him and cannot wait for his return

Totally agree Dan, I can see BJ filling the leadership role currently filled by Lenny when Lenny relinquishes it. He is far and away the best of his draft and will be crucial to the success of the Saints in the next 5 years.

He is a good player, but please, he is no champion. Yes, still young, but been in the system for already 5 years. He is a good player, not a champion. He is a great kick too and reads the play well. Please choose words carefully. Yes, he is important to our side. Being a number 1 draft pick means nothing. You arent a number once in the AFL system. Everyone is in a playing field. Not even in the same breath as Harvey, Del, Lenny, J Brown, Judd etc. Even Rooey.

Del...

Please choose spelling carefully.

"Not even in the same breath as Harvey, Del, Lenny, J Brown, Judd etc. Even Rooey."

Implies that all of those players are better than Riewoldt... which they are not.

Please choose words carefully.
