Hit the post from a metre out against sydney in that infamous draw.

and kicked 4 or 5 against Geelong as we stormed home from 38 points down in the last term to lose by a point in that same season.

Careered affectively ended when his jaw was broken against westcoast in late 03.
Don't think he played another game after that.
Saw him post season in (I think) '04 after not playing a game.

Had a bigger gut than I do, and said in hearing distance of the training staff and kids he had a "f##king sh#t year" when I enquired as to how he felt about his year.

Was gone shortly after, unsurprisingly.

not really who couldn't we recruit because of his contract?
Just making the point that his contract was long term and up there with little on field return. Who knows who we could have got in the last two years of his contract while he was on the sideline if our salary cap was freed up

Don't worry Collingwood have had plenty too! We have come up with about 5 teams of hacks/draft woes et al from the early 80's.

Everyone's had them......
Exactly, no point beating yourself up about them, a while ago I made up a list of the best possible team that we could have drafted in hindsight, easily premiers any year but everyone's a professional recruit in hindsight...

What about Tony King (who played one game) and Mark Scott? And we gave Hawthorn Russel Greene for these duds!! Comes close to the Billy Barrot fiasco....

it might be reaching a bit far back for some, but.....

Dean Anderson (i think we got him from the hawks)

Steven Newport (made an artform out of jogging on the spot, not getting the ball and panicking when it accidentally fell into his hands. I also seem to remember that we delisted and then used our first pick to get him back one year, that was in the time of Sheldon's first reign).

Ben Shwarze (made his older bro look like a star, and thats no mean feat)

HAAAAAAAAAAAACKS!!!!!!!

If he had missed the target all together we would have had Daniel Wells on our list at the start of 2003 too

I think he got delisted mid year, for disciplinary reasons if my memory serves me correctly.
I thought he quit himself, as a rookie, in mid-2001?

Sean Charles easily I remember watching him play for the saints and was absolutely dumbfounded how someone so bad could actually be given the chance to play AFL football

Tony Francis and Damien Monkhurst was an absolutely shocking get
