Yep it was teams of 20 for the first two years.
Then teams of 18 from 1899 till the 30s when they started the bench.

Over to you ....

What do Robert Harvey and Adam Schneider have in common which no other current Saint can claim?

I found this on page 2.

Time for a clue.

This has nothing to do with their playing careers but in some way their personal details are linked to the St.Kilda Football Club.

No they are not the only ones but there is something specific about the day they were both born.

They were both born on days StK won ?

21/8/71 StK 122 def South 50 at Moorabbin
12/5/84 Nth 101 lost to StK 148 at Waverley

But surely they are not the only StK players born on a victory day
(I guess the 80s were pretty bleak).

Spot on Enrico.

When you consider that:

we play for half a year or less
in that time we only play once every seven days
most of our players were born in the lean years between 1979 and 1989

Then having two players born on victory days is not so unexpected.

Les,
have you considered therapy ?

OK
Let's go back, way back ....

What happened for the first time in VFL/AFL history in Round 4 1914,
and it was done by StKilda ?

We won that game by 60 pts 17.13.115 to 8.7.55

But I'm trying to dig a little deeper to find something more significant then that lol.

No,
but it was a win against Melbourne.

Looking for something relating to our performance in the game.

No HD
But thinking about scoring and thinking about 7 are both very positive steps
