Training Today. Anyone go? !!
I know that its the 1st day back and that the guys aren't training on the Linen House Oval (is it still called that?) for another week, but did anyone get a look at what the boys are up to.
I reckon that next Monday, the 12th will be when some announcements are made re sponsorship for 2008. That could be part of the reason why there is no training on Linen House oval this week. We can't have the guys on tv, in the papers etc wearing Bill Express/Vodafone gear when they are no longer our sponsors.
At least I am hoping that to be the case !!

... come on Eastern - 'out with it!'.Eastern wrote:Yeah I read that. The cynic in me suggests there is more to it !!ausfatcat wrote:westofmoorabin says no training on the oval because of a recent top dressing.
I was going to head down to Moorabbin today but thought it would be an orientation day - weighing, paperwork, measured-up for training outfits and the like - but just guessing. I thought that tomorrow would have been a better day to be lurking around in the shodows.

I understand your concern Spinner. This appears to be the modern day conundrum, footballer v athelete. Personally I think footballer first until we start to get down the list, especially with kids (more so the talls) who have not had a lot of exposure to football. Ex basketballers, kids from non AFL states.
It's a very hard one to answer but I believe as with the majority of draft picks, we're driving blind and won't know if we've picked a winner for at least 3 seasons.

every session will be open according to Nathan Burke except one before each game.Cam1lla wrote:so arent they doing any open training sessions?
he said that closed sessions were a waste of time because teams analyse and watch your games for about 5 weeks before they play you so they know how you play anyway.
said to go to as many sessions as possible.

It surprises me that the guys are still wearing gear that advertises Bill Express & Vodafone. But then again, there aren't any alternatives !!saintbrat wrote:come on-0 did anyone run or walk the Tan yesterday and find a group of fit guys running along with them??
