That's up to 1991 - but only played 34 games prior to 1991.

First 34 games x avg. 16 disposals (rough guess) = 544

= 8,937

So call it 9,000 about now I reckon.

Meaning he would have to average 40 disposals a game in 2008 to reach the 10,000 mark

I seem to recall during his 350th or in a news article that week that he has touched the footy more times than any player in history, also that for two years i think has been the only current player left from the days of the VFL.

Its not surprising that he has the most possessions ever when you think about it, he's currently 7th on the all time games list and the only two on ballers on the list ahead of him are KB and Bradley. Both absolute champions, but neither consistently won as much of the footy as the great man!
