I agree that he turned out to be a terrible waste of picks but I am astounded that you continue to post that he was recruited as a forward when that is completely untrue. What are you basing this on? Your own opinion?
BB was drafted as our future ruckman and was only moved to other positions after he did his knee and lost his leap.
Here are the facts:
- BB was the U18 all Australian Ruckman
- The only other ruckman we had on our 2003 list were Capuano and Knobel.
- I watched all of his five games in his first year, and was actually present for the 3 home games. All of these games he played as a ruckman coming off the bench. He spent NO time forward.
- He did his knee in a RUCK contest.
And if thats not enough for you below are ALL the Stkilda hitout statistics for games in which he played in Barry Brooks' first year at StKilda. (courtesy of footywire.com). Brooks was ALWAYS in the top 2 until he did his knee.
