Must have just came through with the list lodgement today. Hugely disappointing because he has ability very similar to that of Andrew Thompson. Should be played as a true inside midfielder who racks up clearances and tackles, but Lyon tried to turn him into a tagger and he lost all confidence.
This means that we can use 4 picks in the ND or 3 in the ND and 1 in the PSD.

Good luck to Mini.
Obviously a good bloke and terrific leader. Thought he showed a lot in his first two years at the club, but didn't impress at VFL level this season.
Unlucky to get the chop as a first round draft pick with a year to run on his contract, but has played more than the average number of footy matches at the highest level.
Hope he gets picked up by another AFL club and given a chance somewhere else, as his work ethic and committment deserve to be rewarded.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Lost confidence as a tagger, what picking up a player was too much for him??mad saint guy wrote:Must have just came through with the list lodgement today. Face it guys, he's not up to it. If we are to go on and win a premership, I very much doubt he'd be part of the side. Turns it over too much for a small on baller.

I agree with TAGHLAO, Mini just wasn't up too it, and he had some chances, a lot more than others. Didnt have on attribute that he really stood out in, like skills or balling winning, he was just good at all, but great at none. I was excited when we initally drafted him, and went ok initially but then died away. Wasn't that brilliant in the VFL either unfortunatly. Hope essendon pick him up and he gets another chance.

They've taken Brooks, Watts, Raymond and Sweeney off the Saints site, however Mcqualter is still their.

Funny... im startin to love RL, mcqualter is small, slow and not greatly skilled so why keep him?? ah yes because we are a social club that dont like flags getting in the way of our clubrooms at moorabin.Spinner wrote:Im starting to hate RL....
McQualter should not have been delisted.
Come on Mcqualter is not a grade never will be. I for one appluade RL for not going along with mediocracy he knows what we need how about letting him do his job in peace.

dont get me started on clinton jones, he will become the new whipping boy, i cant stand him.evertonfc wrote:How the heck can Watts and McQualter be delisted...
...yet Ferguson and C Jones stay on the list?
Anyone?
Got a feeling RL loves his favourites...
As for Mcqualter, i think it was the right decision. Its a business winning premierships and if someones not up to it then it is inevitable what will happen next, simple as that
good luck in the future andrew
more bad news
really liked the way mini went about it in his first year in particular
shame he couldn't build on it, really went down the tubes last year
would never have torn games apart but I always thought he would be handy in the middle with his fearless tackling and good hands in close
good luck Mini, hopefully you'll get another chance somewhere or do well in the vfl
great work on that porno tache too, classic saints mo'ment

Good onya Ross Lyon!!!!!
About time we had a coach that made tough calls!!!
If we had you 3 or 4 years ago we may have already one that ellusive 2nd premiership!!
But since Stan Alves, we've only had coaches who try to F**K our club up,
or look out for their mates. (Not that Blight really got a chance, coz he was "BONED" by Thomas!)
It looks like we've finally got a coach who's not a puppet & is willing to make tough decisions!!!
I wish Mini all the best & hope he gets another chance, but to me he was always gonna be a "bits" player.
