Richard Cole

Post: # 483749Post StNoodles »

Not sure whether it's been mentioned before, but I've heard a whisper we've been looking at him. Don't know much more than that unfortunately.

Hasn't played much footy of late, but was rated pretty highly as a kid - drafted to Collingwood at pick 11, then traded to Essendon for pick 23. Obviously injuries would be a concern, but for a late pick, may be worthwhile for a 24yo with good skills.

Thoughts?

Not sure about 75 players plugger, but if we got Cole we would be 75000 kilograms overweight.

Doubt we are after him - was given every chance at Essendon, and didn't perform.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

We already have enough "rated highly as a kid but never amounted to anything at AFL level" players.

Massive no to Cole.

Maybe we could get Dean Rioli out of retirement and have him and Cole as human tackling bags.....

Please no, struggled at Collingwood when they struggled, struggled at Essendon when they struggled. That's two chances he's blown in very professional outfits.

Joke would be on us IMO.

Yes , I'm almost sure this was mentioned on ABC radio over the weekend ??sports central. The presenter for memory mentioned that he had been talking to Ross Lyon the night before and that the Saints were interested in Richard Cole.

Trust me, you don't want him. He's had his second chance but was too darn lazy to make the most of it.

I love the idea of turning around wayward talents, but this boy doesn't have the talent or motivation to begin with.

wasn't advocating to pick him up, but rather if this suits everton's statement. Personally I say no one but the kids but if they had to take someone maybe Sampi if and a big if, motivated and fit.

COLE is not prepared to run, chase or tackle. In fact he is not prepared to do anything required to succed at AFL level.

COLE is a complete DUD!!!

He has ability and was a very good enforcer in defence for Collingwood in 2004, but since then he has done nothing to suggest he has the interest to pay AFL footy. Unfit, slow, uninterested. No thanks.
