But with no obvious person to ask the question, I will jump in.
Sean Dempster was recuited to Sydney under the father-son rule. What was his father's name and what distinguishing feature made him stand out on the field?
I mentioned John Northey (following the plea for mercy) who coached the Saints Reserves in the early 80's. Can anyone name the sides he's coached since then?

Darryl Peoples from Fitzroy in Round 17 (18 round seasons).
Copped 6 weeks which ruled him out till 1967.
Nearly cost us the flag.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Mercy Rule
In 1941 the centre circle was enlarged from 8 feet to ten feet in diameter.
Ok, pretty crappy question wasn't it.
I'll have another go....

As we all know, the current AFL team configuration is a team of 22 with 18 players on the field and 4 on the interchange bench.
But this hasn't always been the case.
What was the team configuration when the competition began in 1897 ?

So I was really surprised when I read 2 weeks ago that "In 1899 the VFL changed the rules to have Teams of 18 instead of .....??"
