Well done guys. Imaging how much we would have won by if the spinners had been playing for us!
Dan should get the credit for the BBQ as I just added some bits and pieces (all the unhealthy stuff - chips, cokes, a few extra snags and the very healthy water) to his contribution of 1000 snags, bread and sauce and of course a big thanks to Mr. Magic for turning snags while Dan and i played Mr. Mom to our S.I.T.s (saints in training)

thanks, modesty permits me from taking too much credit, but it is true that without my truly inspired 3/4 time address, we were as good as dead in the waterSt. Luke wrote:Truth be told, if it wasn't for Barks 3/4 time REV-UP we would have been done like a dinner!!
sure the boys did their bit, but if it wasn't for the sonic viagra, we would not have got over the line
but I'm far too humble to mention it really

Actually thought it might bring them back, but modesty permits me from making too much of that factTimeToShineFellas wrote:Quite possibly the most inspirational speech I've ever heard.......
Sure leaves that Luther King bloke and Indian fella Ghandi for dead!
the "down in Louisianna" bit was borrowed, but the rest of it was divinely inspired

Hi guys from the Demonology site. Thanks for the game and congradulations on your well earned win.
Some of you have already picked up on some of the video we shot, but for those who haven't you may like to view it in the following thread:

Great day guys and look forward to the next one just please not during exams
Thanks Dan and B4USA good hit out... I do find it very interesting that its over 25 every game we play
Is three sundays from now ok?
BIG thanks to Dan and BFUSA, Saintsational effort as always
and Dan's kids are simply the best, very funny, kept me entertained for about half an hour,
last time I brought too much and stuff was getting binned
this time I didn't bring enough and bfusa topped up as a saver
as for the kids they are pretty great.
I love my weekends. its the best time for me.
It was kind of hard ignoring the kids and it was great of mr magic to take over so I could run around with the little ones a bit.
team effort IMO.

Great effort guys, we really had to dig deep for that win, and what a cracking contest the entire day was.
Firstly too everyone well done on getting through the extreme conditions, secondly to HD and Barks for putting together the event it is much appreciated, and thirdly to all the support staff, after match BBQ arrangers and Yipper for umpiring once again.
As for the game, it was really trying conditions and our boys met every challenge asked of them.
Some Individual Mentions:
Illzey you have some serious freakish ability, and all the best in your run with the Scorp's. To Saintbot, really gutsy effort, I still can't believe your only 15 years old - you are faster than Brett Deledio and have a heart bigger than Phar Lap for playing out all 4 quarters.
Zody once again another great performance, mightysainters as good as ever and HD for providing continual drive thru the middle. (You sure you shouldn't have been at the beach - as the Demons player suggested with those boardies)
Beekay for the team inspiring snap in the final few minutes, I knew you had it in you Fev, and too the entire defence well done.
All in all a great day - and team win, a win against the odds it appeared at 3/4 time, what was memorable afternoon it was. Until next we meet dee's Big Carl is ours ........

yep yipper doesn't get enough credit.
comes a long way with his family.
I remember when I busted my achilles I think it was mrs yipper who iced it up for me and stuff.
and him and his family are always charming, sociable and frankly he's in pretty good nick and if his missus let him go for a run, Im sure he could give some of you young fellas a run for your money too!

We just rock up - there's a fair bet that if you asked, say the local council, you'd get a knockback or be asked to produce insurance cover!!
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

in response to the last two posts:
moorabbin doesnt have any behind posts as an angry supporter cut them down mid season or something - coaches decided to leave it
i went to olympic park the other day and i can tell you that punt rd is in no condition for football...
as for goshes paddock...i think it may be a little too close to a main rd - our kicking isnt good enough to keep the footies within the ground

What a wonderfully pleasant change this thread is..
No arguingm, no bickering, no sledging..just lots of Saints fans (and even a cpl of oppo fans) enjoying a social occasion.
Well done to everyone who got out from behind their keyboards and had a kick and a snag...double that to those who were meeting some SS-ites for the first time. Not a bad bunch are they?
If a few people from another (long-winded and IMHO mainly pointless) thread on here took your example, this place would benefit enormously IMHO
