Harford Ries from the Hawkes and Mathew Banks Ess also Baldwin who played for Geel. Not a bad list for suburban football and still couldnt beat Vermont.super dooper wrote:They absolutely cut up the EFL this season, there is also talk that Ben Dixon is going to join the trio as well, very formidable side, think they have a few ex hawk players as well at BalwynBeno88 wrote:moyle, cranage and murray at balwyn

Double the amount in player payments as well. Mr AllBanx and Geoff Lord kick in a fair amount of coin. And still couldn't get over the Eagles!

Vermont were very lucky to win the flag this year, after the opposition had a shot after the siren 15 metres out directly in front, and missed, lost by 4 pts.SENsaintsational wrote:Precisely!!CURLY wrote:Harford Ries from the Hawkes and Mathew Banks Ess also Baldwin who played for Geel. There seems to be a common denominator to past players remaining in melbourne, the majoirty are playing in the EFL.
Great competition to watch, and a good way to wind down a career.
even the second division is starting to become very strong, and it wont be long till sides like south croydon and knox (who got promoted) start performing well in 1st div becasue of the calibre of players coming back to local footy and the youthful talent coming through.
Although they were never afl superstars, they are all solid footballers at the local level

So its Youngy's fault then good thats settled we can all leave shanna's alone now
Any in tassie/ QLD that you can think of ?
Is Gilbert Mc Adam still playing for the crocs or anyone up in Darwin does anybody know, I was introduced to him up there in the rooms many years ago and i can remember during the game a young aboriganal player kicking out to himself and then kicking it up to the wing chasing it down himself and having a couple of bounces then going on to kick a goal, one of the funniest things i have seen in football and had a good chat to Gilbert about it after the game
