he was breath tested and it was negative, therefore no need for a blood test.

also wasnt his car. the $20 note was in one of the strippers pockets.

i believe that the car belongs to his drug dealer, yes i do believe he has one, and the police were after the dealer and followed the car from previous locations thinking he was driving it, then pull him up and find ben cousins is in it, then they harass the f*** out of the bloke eg. making him take his shirt off, making him sit in the car then saying move over to the middle, then changing mind and saying move back to window seat.

and now they have nothing on the guy so they have to drop charges.

feel free to disagree
police haven't dropped all the charges.

Get the hell outta here. Really?

They make him sit in the car, then say "move over to the middle"? Disgraceful!

As if that weren't bad enough, they then change their minds and tell him to move back to the window seat? Unconscionable!

Laurence Powell has nothing on these guys.

OMG police brutality at its worst.

I bet the cup of tea they brought him down the station was cold too.

IMO this sort of behaviour is tantamount to torture.

AFL CHIEF executive Andrew Demetriou has thrown the league’s full support behind West Coast, following the club’s decision to part ways with midfielder Ben Cousins.

Cousins, 29, was sacked by the Eagles on Wednesday after failing to cooperate with police in the lead-up to his arrest on drug possession charges in Perth.

Demetriou said Cousins’ failure to assist the police officers who pulled him over was a clear violation of the strict conditions imposed when Cousins’ indefinite suspension for illicit drug use was lifted in July.

In Paris to meet with Irish officials on the future of the International Rules series, Demetriou spoke to reporters at AFL House via a telephone hook-up on Thursday afternoon.

“The AFL supports, 100 per cent, the decision of the West Coast board to terminate Ben Cousins’ contract,â€

His lawyer's making rumblings about suing the police???

He's not going to the States for rehab he's going to get advice off Rodney King following the brutality he suffered at the hands of the Perth coppers.

The police have already dropped one charge, if the other doesn't stick then I'd say he certainly has a case to say that his career has been affected by a far from ordinary arrest. Who's to say that the cops who pulled him over weren't disgruntled Dockers fans?

He'll probably need the money when he sues to pay for the rehab.........

I reckon West Coast won't be paying for it this time
