Well we have never seen Bally's peak unfortunately and prob never will, however we have seen Judd hit the highs of performance at all levels.
So with no injuries id take Judd, we cannot kidd ourselves, he is a gun.
BUT
Bal seems to have more of a pain tolerance and still is more than effective in a team (05 B&F and all aust with the begginings of OP). Ball wouldnt sit on the bench of a final, REGARDLESS. Ball has the heart of an ox, which i admire and he plays for the jumper and the love of the club, which gets all my respect, so in my eyes i see him as a champion player, perhaps shouldnt be compared to judd considering the circumstances.
It will be interesting to see in 2 years time when Judd and Carlton has seen the long term effects of OP i think then we can have a better judge as we can see what Judd has become and what he could potentially turn into through the demise caused by OP.

Hindsight is 20/20, however I have no problem with the choice the Saints made. Luke Ball is a quality player, leader and person.
Comparing players like this is just pointless, it doesn't change anything and its not just the Judd-Ball-Hodge argument it could relate to any players in the draft. You can't tell what will happen to a player 5 years down the track, you have to take a chance and hope it pays off.

I agree completely. But when the question is asked I think we need to be honest. But I am with you. We have Bally. A great guy and a very good player.F_Q_F wrote:Hindsight is 20/20, however I have no problem with the choice the Saints made. Luke Ball is a quality player, leader and person.
