Nope - not the Zarzoffs.

One of the twins kicked more than 100 goals in his home town country league.

Bluey was more of an impact player.
But brothers Bernie and Rudie were pretty good too :D

And I think there was a fourth brother ?

They had a sister Tori

And don't forget their cousin Heywood Jablomie.

I think Tori was Terry before the groin reconstruction.

I am pretty certain you are correct on that one Enrico.

I believe the surgeon was Dr Katya Kokov?

The twins were related to two very well known players, one played for the tigers and the other for the dees.

I'm stabbing in the dark a bit

Tony Barry and Ian Barry were on our list together in the early 80s, but no idea if they were even related ?

I remember Gary McDonald (not Norman !) from the late 70s and notice there was also a Robert McDonald - but a pretty common name.

No - but Barry was the first name of the relation who played for the D's in the 70's.

Barry and Francis Bourke being the relations?

(Barry Bourke was the only notable Barry to play with Melbourne in the 70's)

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Correct OWTS - now can you name the identical twins, with flat feet, from the Ballarat zone, who tried out for the Saints at or about that time?

Was Darren Bourke, Barry's son?

No closer to the two reserves players though

The big Geelong ruckmen Les? If so, I don't think so - but not sure about that!

Darren Bourke played for the Saints in the early 90's. Very skillful onballer. Tremendous kick with either foot as I recall.

Sorry Les, I had Damian Bourke in mind - when I was thinking about the "big Geelong ruckmen". I think he was captain in the late 80's.

Geoff + John Bourke-Finn were the identical twins. Geoff kicked 100 goals+ in the CHFL playing for Ballan FC.
They both played for Redan FC in the BFL - (where John Northey coached 4 consecutive premierships with Graeme Gellie playing in them), prior to Northey joining the Saints as the reserves coach in the early 80's.

I thought it was on the tip of my tongue but I've no recollection of the Bourke-Finn family.

But with no obvious person to ask the question, I will jump in.

Sean Dempster was recuited to Sydney under the father-son rule. What was his father's name and what distinguishing feature made him stand out on the field?
