Why was Stan Alves sacked asacoach? WhywasMalcolmBlightletgo

Post: # 476360Post tigerman »

Why was Stan Alves sacked as a coach? Why was Malcolm Blight sacked as coach? I am going to write a book on sacked coaches and with my Tiges (sackings as coach) it could be a 1000 page book and best book in ages.

I think for too long players at the two respective clubs have ruled the roost.

Your opinions?

I have heard that it was because he was caught speaking to his dead son. I am not being a smartalec. I love Stan. Is this true?

even if its true why bring that up, ffs. some things are no ones bussiness, eg tabloid journos like your self.

that would maim the best of ppl to lose a child. he went on and coached a team of young men to a GF. young men who would of reminded him of how cruel this world can be, that his son wasnt able to grow into a man. if that is so, that should not be rumor milled on a forum or put into a book. have some respect for the man and his loss.

If you compare the 1997 side with the 2004 side    No wonder Stan is sighing.

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

stan did his lollie...just like he did on many other occasions...this time plympton said that he had gone too far.....i remember him knocking a cup out of jason cripps hand and shoving other players in the chest. ....

Sadly Stan was a bit of a Jeckle and Hyde, nice as pie in front of the media but a raving lunatic often, several players were berated so badly by him (liked to try to strangle some of the guys) in the end they asked the saints for a transfer.................

I heard similar stories regarding the Jeckle and Hyde personality. Maybe coached by Barrassi too long.
