If these three get the axe, Ferg should count himself very lucky. He's played as many games as Brooks and far less than McQualter and plays a position where we're fairly solid. Axing Watts and Brooks pretty much locks in Kosi at FF.

watts?? i doubt watts is going mcqualter and brooks im glad to see gone. Rix should be gone too although probably need him for rucking duties.

brooks and sadly mcqualter i agree with

but Watts should be kept as a backup tall

he hasnt had a complete pre-season+season with the club yet

what if one of kosi, king, mgardiner, rix, etc break down with injury

if its king/gardiner then that means rix or kosi has to replace them

if kosi isnt at fullforward, through injury or due to filling the place of our ruckmen then who is going to replace him

Give Watts another year, would do better than others on our list

I agree Watts should stay, he needs a big pre season now that he seems to have his body right. Maybe they think they have enough talls now. Mc Qualter and Brookes yes i agree

Already gone.

So that is five delisted and five retired.

four picked up yesterday and two elevated.

This leaves four spots to fill

At least three in the ND and one in the PSD, or four in the ND or mabye a redrafting like Ferguson last season.

We will find out National Draft day i suppose.

Dont know but Charlie Gardiner must think all of his Christmases have come at once if true about Watts.

Why the comparison????

Charlie is a medium (190cm) and quite mobile forward with Cats fans I know saying that he did not play senior footy this year only because Johnson (189cm) was in such good form. Gardiner also has 51 games and is aready made depth player who has the potential to fill a gap that we have in the team...ie as a medium forward.

Watts on the other hand is a lumbering and slow player that is basically a marking target only......in a football era where backmen can really hurt your team by running off such players if they are not at the top of their game. You may get away with one big slow forward ...but not two....and Kosi is a much much better option and is more mobile than Watts.

The future of both Watts and Brooks as key forwards is also further impinged by the young Allen who is a more mobile tall option than both.

I hope this is not true because if Watts has been delisted that is bullsh*t he hasn't even been a chance to show what he's able to do at the top level.

If Kosi goes down through the year which is most likely to happen who is going to play at FF ?? An untried player like Allen ??
