Stats more than often arent the best indication on a players worth. Prime example 22 possies from Dal Santo are twice as valuable than 40 from Carrazo

Shouldn't we trust Ross Lyons judgement on this, he was the swans midfield coach, so if he had a choice of schnieider, bolton or buchanan and he chose schnieder he must have a legitimate reason as i'm sure he knows the strengths and weaknesses of all three, so I will trust his judgement and be happy with who we choose.

career stats
Player MT K H D Avg M Avg HO Avg T Avg FF FA G Avg B SC Rat Avg
Adam Schneider 98 831 391 1222 12.5 340 3.5 0 0 231 2.4 54 68 99 1 80 674 5743 58.6
Stephen Milne 141 1171 297 1468 10.4 447 3.2 9 0.1 193 1.4 101 145 271 1.9 143 1769 7664 54.4

we are playing a different style to the attacking goal scoring style of previous years.

given the whole team struggled to come to terms with RLs methods as been discussed, Milnes career stats stack very well with shneiders, especially in front of goal.

Bit paternalistic, isn't it?

You've got eyes and a brain. Make your own judgment.

If the choice is between Milne & Schneider I'd ask you to consider this....

Milne goes missing in big games... Schneider doesn't.

Case closed.

orly?

stats would indicate Scheider goes missing EVERY big game...

Opp Rd Kicks Marks H.Balls Disp Goals Bhd H.O. Tack FrF FrA BM

Hawthorn 11 5 4 2 7 1 1 0 4 2 1 0 0

Hawthorn 22 6 4 6 12 0 2 0 3 1
Collingwood FN 4 3 4 8 1 0 0 3 1 2 0

the teams he got more than 15 possessions against were:

Richmond, brisbane, Melbourne, kangas, carlton, dogs, essendon, freo carlton again, richmond and melbourne.

in 2006

essendon, carlton, melbourne, dogs, kangas, freo, essendon, melbourne, carlton and WCE.

perhaps paul roos is onto something.

after originally being interested in schneider, closer analysis of his form (ie. he's a flat track bully)

get sneider

Post: # 473011Post Fresh Prince »

he is quick, skillfull and very smart. He would be a great foil for our forwardline/midfield. We dont have any really skill full players except Dal and BJ.

actually this year we nobbled sydney, WCE, hawthorn and adelaide at various stages, and ran collingwood to within an inch of their lives for 3 quarters.

its the games we blew to essendon and brisbane amongst others that we should look at.

i think we've had a fair run against the 'top' teams in previous years as well.

Interesting, isn't it.

We actually faired better against the good teams, and dropped games to teams we should have smashed.

Quite the opposite to what we've become known for.
