Mark Blake: Staying at Kardina

MARK Blake has put aside his Grand Final heartache and agreed to remain at Geelong.

The promising ruckman yesterday turned his back on more lucrative offers from St Kilda and Richmond in favour of a new contract with the Cats.

It is believed the Saints were prepared to offer as much as $800,000 over three years for Blake.

While the Geelong offer will be significantly less financially, it has improved enough to win him over.

Thats more than that lucrative offer Ackland is on at Carlton

i wish him luck at geelong, and hopefully he plays in a grand final side and we beat them on the day so he doesnt get a premiership medal

What about - Pick 9 - for Schneider and Pick 11 (Syd)
then - Pick 11 - for Wood and Pick 25 (Bris)

We lose Pick 9 but gain Wood, Schneider and Pick 25,
and as an added bonus we trump the Pies for Wood ??

Works for me - a good ruckman, another good midfielder, another 2nd round pick and we screw the Pies.
Just can't work in a way to do the Blues over as well ...

Don't want King - too old and injury prone.
