Would we trade ARMITAGE for ADCOCK?

If the rumours are true about ADCOCK wanting to return to Victoria then such a trade would work for both clubs. ARMITAGE is a QLD boy having had a fair amount of involvement with the LIONS, hence I think they would be very interested. ARMITAGE was a first round selection which would be the asking price for ADCOCK you would think.

Such a trade may also path the way for a further trade involving WOODS?

Adcock and Wood, is that a firm rumour?

so it can happen but i doubt we would want to be paying for a brissy player as well as a ex brissy player

Adcock is just about to re-sign with the Lions.

And there is no way they would trade him for Armitage. Adcock is one of the best young midfielders in the game atm. An absolute gun.

It aint going to happen but if for some reason it did why would people on here say the would keep Armo and not swap him. It would the greatest deal in AFL history. One 3 games who knows if he will make it, the other just about AA this year and improved every year.

I'm pretty sure anyone can be traded as long as all 3 parties agree to it (the player and both clubs involved)

Can't be delisted though.....or at least not without fully paying the player out.

correct...austin lucy or something similar was delisted after one season at Essendon last year - they had to pay out his contract however

I met young Armo on Mackay AFL's Grand Final day this season. ( The best player in the Under 14's GF wins the "David Armitage Medal")

He's VERY happy at the Saints.
He said he's looking forward to the pre-season and admitted that he needs to get a hell of alot fitter.
He's genuinely excited and enthusiastic about the Saints' chances over the next few seasons; and he's hoping he can play a big part in our success.
