Would we trade for ADCOCK?
Would we trade ARMITAGE for ADCOCK?
If the rumours are true about ADCOCK wanting to return to Victoria then such a trade would work for both clubs. ARMITAGE is a QLD boy having had a fair amount of involvement with the LIONS, hence I think they would be very interested. ARMITAGE was a first round selection which would be the asking price for ADCOCK you would think.
Such a trade may also path the way for a further trade involving WOODS?

really? if your talking about his Afl games, you have obviously watched different games to me. He wasn't ready, needs a big pre-seasona nd hopefully cements a spot in the top 22 this season as has happened with gilbert this year.claystreet wrote:I like the look of what i have seen of Armitage

Lets draw some comparisons:
Armitage .........Montagna
Joey spent 3 years developing where he didn't exactly set the world on fire. Would you trade him now? I think not.
Armitage would still be on a very steep learning curve for at least another 1-2 years. I wouldn't be expecting too much out of him until 2009 !!

concur on monty.
till 2007 about 1/2 of the forum would have grabbed a second round pick for him
adcock is fantastic though and probably behiind judd the best thing on the market atm.
i would think to get him would cost a first round pick.

It not that I want him to go Wild Goose...
It not that I want him to go Wild Goose, I just think that ADCOCK is a bit more advanced and exactly what we need. Hard at it onballer with pace who can break the lines.wildgoose wrote:He has been here for a year, and you want him traded, haha. Armitage could play 200 + games for all we know. I wouldn't be trading him yet.
ARMITAGE may become that player but I bet he will always be looking to return to QLD...why not have two players settled at their clubs for the long haul...

Adcock was on the brink of the All Australian side so I think they'd probably be after more than just Armitage if they were forced to trade.
Very good player is Adcock, I remember watching him as a kid playing alongside Brad Dick from the Pies and Andrew Swallow from the Kangas. Pretty handy midfield line as it were.

Yes.Washedup wrote:I'm pretty sure anyone can be traded as long as all 3 parties agree to it (the player and both clubs involved)armitage is not tradeable, players have to be on a playing list for 2 years before they can be traded by afl law.
Can't be delisted though.....or at least not without fully paying the player out.

Good player for potential to be a good player. Lopsided.DK27 wrote:You can trade Armitage.
I think it is a fair trade. Adcock is a very good running defender with proven form. Armitage has potential to be a good midfielder but also could be a dud. Fair trade for Brisbane and StKilda.
Would need a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick to even make brisbane consider it.
