Has anyone else been listening to Patrick Smith and Kevin Bartlett on SEN?
The only thing that is annoying Mr. Smith is the fact that the Saints have not embarked on a civil war, but have instead achieved a dignified and united transition in changing the administration at Moorabbin.
(unlike a number of other AFL clubs not too far from here!!!)

oh dear phatpryck has gone from having 'one' friend to 'no' friends.
I'm pretty sure now that the saints are moving on, any friends that phatpryck may have had will evapourate and he will dissapear back into being a hopeless fourth rate editorial writer.
when was the last time outside the st kilda board change that the giant turd man broke a story?
really he's just a paid outsider who gets to lob rocks at people and clubs.

Apparently the guy is held in very high regard within journalistic circles. I think he's far too opinionated to provide objective comments. Ivy Moyle gave us a laugh though! "He's the reason why I dont buy the Age"

Clearly, the football - and alot of our own supporters, expected this to be the implosion they've been waiting for for the past 8 years. But it didn't happen - again.
Sorry Mr Smith, get used to it.
Sorry old-school Saints fans, get used to it.
There is not going to be an implosion.
You've been expecting, waiting, hoping for it for 8 years and it hasn't happened. We've played finals, missed finals, sacked a coach, sacked players, sacked a Board yet the club hasn't imploded - this isn't how the script was meant to go!
Get used to it.
he got sacked from the age years ago and writes from teh rustralian.
you'll find that the Age wasn't big enough to carry two incompetent journalists like caro and phatpryck. the difference was sometimes caro's Bullshyte was true.
Caro has mates at clubs and probably has teh wood over some of them and occassionally gets an inside story.
of course shes be exposed as a bullshyte artist on some of those stories, but her strike rate is much higher than a mere editorialiser.

He should keep his "journalistic" talents to little league games. Even then he'd struggle. The guy is a joke.plumtire wrote:Apparently the guy is held in very high regard within journalistic circles. He's like Robert Walls, opinions change just to suit the arguement of the day. A walking, talking contradiction.
he is the bombers fan who was supporting the ousting of the president and ceo of essendon after the handling of the sheedy affair.
what happened with that one? oh right only 10% of their members actually agreed with the statement. the current board and ceo are still there with greater support.
he is a whale in a cheap suit. a man who's narrowspread* opinion is lower than dung beetle crap.

He's not held in high regard to my knowledge, but is considered to 'well informed'.

Re: Same old same old from Patrick
I'd suggest that's not entirely correct. He's lost a lot of contacts in recent years...he's just lost a few more down at St Kilda, too.rodgerfox wrote:He's not held in high regard to my knowledge, but is considered to 'well informed'.
Not exactly what you'd call or a popular or terribly highly respected member of the sporting press, either.
He is highly rated, however, by the anti-sport group movement at the MEAA, who seem to think renaming someone Xavier Tanner makes for creative genius.
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

has been positioning himself so as to be able to slag off at the new board for some time.
Started his praise of Butterss around July when Bedwetter announced his challenge.
Now the SFF is in he will go after Westaway with his usual vitriol.
Lance or James??

Bloody Jerk
the membership is divided over the sheedy sacking, the rebels couldn't organise a wet tissue tearing competition and faith in the new coach is ZERO.
matty knights was a fine player for richmond but i think the only hard ball he ever got was clearing out the pockets after a game of pool.
while there was no love for Ayres, packing dean wallis off has also angered a fair few members.
the essendon board also leaks worse than russian nuclear submarine.
by and large for all their mistakes the st kilda board did an awful lot right, and the transfer of power was relatively seemless.
I'd be 99% sure RB and co wont be returning calls from phatpryck now the dust has settled so phatpryck can go back to working from home and whatever he does there.
