Good on ya Aaron. If every future Saint plays with your passion and mongrel our future will be fine. Goodbye to one of the last legitimate tough men of the game.
Thanks a bunch Sammy!
too bad you couldn't get your body right, but when it was fit you really were inspirational.
Will never forget that brilliant tackle on aker a couple of years ago straight after the first bounce!
Well done Sammy!
MWL - Blinding footy players on the field since 2003
Unfortunately a wasted last two or three years through injury. Sounds a bit familiar for our club! Though, when all is said and done, I think it's not just us laughing at Carlton, but 14 other clubs might be giggling a bit too.[/quote]
Commiserations Aaron.
You were fabulous to watch.
I don't think I have ever seen anyone attack the ball as vigorously as you did.
You gave it your best shot, or shots, but it wasn't to be.
Hopefully the club can retain you in some capacity so that your leadership and attitude will rub off on the current list.
I always thought that if we were going to win a Premiership then Hamill would probably be the key player.
I don't mean in terms of winning a Norm Smith.
But rather as the man who set the tone for everyone else.
An enforcer.
Bust some packs open.
Preventing the ball leaving our forward line.
Making everyone else stand taller.
If ever there was a leader it was Hamill.
Problem is I can't see any obvious replacement for him in that role.
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Been without him for so long realistically that we have built a team not involving Hamill, It not like we are loosing a regular player. Though a big loss none the less.
Its a real shame, different team when he is on the park.
In Ross Get lost!
I am excited to stay at St Kilda and this is a great result for the Club and all our fans. I’m proud to be part of the Saints and am pleased to be playing football with the Clubâ€
