They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Beep tests always start with you thinking "this is pretty cruisy, I'm going alright here."

Then all of a sudden you're absolutely buggered and can't take a single step more.

OMFG, DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE BLOODY BEEP TEST!
our p.e teacher makes us do it at the start and end of each term to see how we have improoved! its seriously tourture!

we just do 20m run through's, and after like round 3 you are having a bit of a laugh, but then when it gets to about rd 7 thats when it starts to hit you!
and you know if you get anything lower than last time what might be 11.4 the teacher will bet angry  so we just go until we are 0.1 ahead of the previous test!

i hate the beep test!
its when u repeatedly run from one point to another and then back before the 'beep' sounds.
and each time u run back to the starting point, its counted as one stage.
basically an endurance test.

The worst thing about the beep test is that if you just had 10 seconds of rest you would be able to go for a couple more levels, but you just can not stop once it gets past level 8 or 9. It's painful, but it does give you a very good idea of your fitness level.

19.2 is just ridiculous! That should not be humanly possible.

the beeps only go up to 22 or something like that

it is nearly impossible for an average person to sprint on a full tank over 20m with the beeps up in the 19/20 levels so really that is just...well...impossible to do it after running 19 levels

i think my pb is 13 something

o yeah!
i forgot, the beeps get quicker and quicker!
so at level 1 you have something like 12 sec to get to the 20m point, but up at level 18 you have like 5 sec.

AFL CLUB INFORMAL INTERVIEWS

(With AFL recruiting managers and other key staff in 16 AFL club rooms)

Brent Connolly – Gippsland Power, VIC

"It was really daunting having the first interview, but once you get the first one out of the way, it's a lot easier. They want to see your personality, so you've got to be honest and try and portray yourself as best as possible. I had a chat to Geelong today and [St Kilda recruiter] Johnny Beveridge as well, so it's been good. I've also got a Freo one coming up and another with St Kilda, but clubs can just come up and grab you at any time, so you've got to be on your toes and put yourself forward as best as possible. So far the clubs I've spoken to have been similar. They try and get a background on you outside of football and also see where you can improve your game – what your strengths and weaknesses are. I've gone in with an open mind. You hear about Port Adelaide being tough, but you hope for the best."

WITH trade week just around the corner, the camp also provides an excellent opportunity for clubs to have an informal chat and unofficially get the ball rolling. Club representatives from Brisbane and the Kangaroos were seen deep in conversation, but it may just have been about the lovely Canberra weather.
- Most likely about Justin Sherman I would think?

Great video this is!

http://bigpondvideo.com/afl/41385

Big Kreuzer looks like a player you wouldnt want to have to play against

Cale Morton, easily was the best speaker out of all the players who had an interview.

The video gives a run down on what happens at the camp and some what the clubs are looking for.

I recomend you watch it.
