does Judd to the blues help our chance of ending up with fev

Post: # 468631Post dborsky »

i too heard that apparently we weren't interested in him.

but the facts remain;

1 - We could certainly use a talented full forward

2 - Judd is going to the blues

3 - they have said they won't give up pick one, the result of which is that they will most probably need to trade for another pick in the top 10

4 - Fev has clearly been unhappy there

5 - When you break it down objectively, he's worth about pick 9

Thoughts?

why wouldn't they cut out the middle man and trade Fev straight to WC?

i hear West Coast are interested in him, so its pointless trading him to us for pick 9, then pick 9 to WC

with big Q up and running, Hunter around to help him out with Seaby or even Hansen as a third tall forward, i would be surprised if they were genuinely interested in another middle aged loose cannon to give them more headaches

No 1 pick will have to be involved otherwise Juddy will be at Richmond. That I have no doubt. How dare the Baggers say no 1 is off the table when you're talking about a potential great playing at your club. Judd is worth 2 Marc Murphys and 3 Bryce Gibbs.

Deal will end up being 3, 20 and Kenndey....

Ratten likes Fev...so he is staying...

Besides for ket forwards we have options in Kois, allen, watts...

We have more pressing needs; mids/ small to medium forward /ruckman full back

Has everyone forgotten that Greg Swan will be using the "How to trade the Collingwood Way" handbook???

There is no doubt that Judd is worth No 1. Carlton would be smarter to say, you can have No.1 and Kennedy but we're keeping pick 3. That will still get them a Cotchin (WC will take Morton, Tigers Kreuzer). Carlton will have to ask themselves, 'Do we rate Matthew Kreuzer over Chris Judd?'

We all know the answer to that...especially if Kreuzer turns into another Josh Fraser.

Thank god for that!

We do have more pressing needs as stated above. We need to have a little faith in what we've got, this years draft and picking up a couple of disgruntled players from other clubs that won't cost us high draft picks in a draft year that is not as deep or obvious as previous years.

wouldn't mind a midfielder of youth and talent for pick 9, or a quality young ruckman.

3 and 20 isn't enough IMO.

1 and 3 is what they are after

3 and 9 might go for it.
