Harvey for Captain in 2008
Next year most likely being harvey's last (although i hope it isnt) he will be extremely motivated for the premiership. he is a great leader and i reckon it would be great for him to lead the club that he loves so much for his last year. any thoughts?

It won't happen.
There would be worse captains, but if he was to be made full time captain, it should have been a few years ago.

i think harvey should be! hes been probably one of our top players this year, and hes turning 78 next year!
he is an awesome legend, but if he was asked is he wants to lead the club, i know he would say "nope, let the other 3 stay as captain"

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."

he struggled toward the back end of the season and looked to be slowing down a little bit...
why slap a C on him?

Tom Harley shows both on and off the field exactly what a captain is.
To me the closest we have is Lenny closely followed by Luke Ball.
agree harley would be one of the better skippers in the afl...worst being whitnall, vandenberg and k.johnson
