thats players over 350 games- few with less games would ahve played as long?
but you can imagine how many games Harves would have played had he not missed many due to injury.
list of players playing ovcer 200 games- and of those really only those playing over 3-- anywhere close to 20 seasons,
Max- 200 games in 11yrs

I can honestly say the players dont give a stuff about these board challengers.stairwaytoheaven wrote:That's terrific news, i just wonder whether having the rival ticket as favorites to spill the board has persuaded him to go on.
I can't wait till we get our framed photo of him.
Hopefully other players will follow suit and re-sign.

Only problem is Gary Dempsey having won the brownlow during one of the two years the umpires each gave separate votes he got something like 58 or 62. So the other year (either preceding or following) he would've also scored a few one can assume. So technically he isn't really that deserving considering, but no doubt he was a good player.Oh When the Saints wrote:379 if he plays 20 matches next year ... that puts him 3rd on the all-time games list.
Should have the most Brownlow votes of all time when he finishes too.

Does anybody know the actual tally of the most Brownlow votes? I recall seeing recently that Harves is one of only 3 players with over 200 career votes (Dempsey also being one and I don't remember the third?)Gabba wrote:Only problem is Gary Dempsey having won the brownlow during one of the two years the umpires each gave separate votes he got something like 58 or 62. It was Lethal.
Sadly Harvs can't catch up 42 votes in this and next year.

Harvey is the consumate club man.
The day after GT was dumped he re-signed.
In the midst of the new turmoil he decides to go on.
Blind loyalty? Nah - thats just Harves.
Now please dont shout me down for this, but lets just hope he hasn't gone on for one year too long. On recent form you could say he is still worth a spot on the list.
The almightly one off that is the great Robert Harvey.

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)
