Would only be young.
RIP.
He was aged 61

Sad Sad day. I've had many beers and discussions about footy old and new with the always gentlemanly Mr. Thompson.
Always generous with his time and I'm sure you won't here a bad word about him.
he will be very missed.

Great player Thompson, was the Dean Cox of his time.
In an age of lumbering ruckmen Thompson was athletic and had pretty good skills. Peter Moore then took athletic ruckmen to a new level.
Josh Fraser reminds me a lot of Thompson but he is not as good overhead.
RIP!

Proudly assuming the title of forum Oracle and serving as the inaugural Saintsational ‘weak as piss brigade’ President.

Shattering news...
Len, I'm so sorry I never got around to responding to the last email you sent me. It was on the 'to-do' list...I'm very sorry mate. I should have made more time. You had some grand plans and it's a shame you never got around to seeing them through.
And if you're reading this somewhere, hopefully a better place than this earth...I'll keep fighting to find out the truth, pal. For what you gave this game, and this city, you deserved better. They'll get what's coming to them.
Condolances to his family and close friends.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Sad news, too young and from all reports not treated that well by life as he left football with the chronic injuries and the money problems.
I hated him in that Gary Dempsey/Peter Moore/Simon Madden way - carved us up playing one kick behind the play, seemed to be all over the ground getting taps and stopping us getting forward. EVen though he was mobile I remember him as one of the first dominant old school ruckmen I saw - terrific player.
