Saintsational vs Demonland - Sunday October 21st at 2pm

Yes thats right, it's the off season again so it's time to start the forum football again, with the hope of getting 5 or 6 games in this summer.
For those who are unfamiliar here we go:
Every summer a few of the clubs forums play games of footy against each other at Glenferrie Oval and we are keen to play the Richmond boys from Puntroadend.com in the first game.
The games are purely social event, with everyone welcome to play regardless of sex, age or ability.
They are usually 4 X 25 minute quarters and many of you im sure have played in the past.

They are great fun and represent an excellent chance for supporters to meet each other and have a kick or even just watch as we all 'attempt' to emulate our heroes.
There is also a BBQ area behind the ground and after the match we usually all get together and have a feed and a few beers and have a chat.
So if you are interested in playing, or even just coming along and helping out with goal umpiring, running water or whatever chuck your name down here, im sure rosey will take control of the ball as she has done in the past over at PRE and we will monitor their numbers as we go.

If any of you have queries or questions post them here and myself, barks or anyone else who has played will answer them.
Things to bring: A saints jumper/shirt, or anything that looks red,white,black... sunscreen and water.

The proposed date is October 21...but we can push that back a week or so if more time is needed.
So if your interested chuck your name down.

The forum games are really good but I have a suggestion.
Any chance we could make some of the games on a saturday, its really hard late sunday afternoon to stick around have a BBQ when people have to get up early for work monday morning.

Its just an idea....

I have always wanted the games on a saturday, but we found so many people played cricket on saturday's so we lost a heap of players from both sides.
So Sunday is the viable option.

yea, i think the point of the game is to see who can get in the most fights isnt it?

lol, its always fun, coz every1 isnt to rough, and if you have the ball the bost they do is tackle you, ive never been bumped, abused, told off, injured, etc.... its all a bit of fun

Yeah, I should be able to make it - though i'd prefer it a week later.

I will have only just come back from QLD on 3 weeks holiday, and will be pretty tired me thinks (driving there and back). I probably wont have access to internet either while I'm away, so wont be able to be updated on changes or updates to this should they occur.

So count me in for now - probably 80% chance, but would prefer the following week.

Looking forward to it in any case - will have to work on the fitness though!!!

Sounds like my footy this year. Our club got fined $300 one match (the opposition did as well), it was one supurb melee.

Pity, im not good for that weekend.

maybe a chance of reprising my water boy duties after my slack-ass effort last year.
unless of course I'm working...or something. Oh exams are soon. meh oh well.
