The only thing Haselby has really done is sue someone for publishing a photo of his knob hanging out of his shorts..........

We need to bring skill into the team, not knobs.....

:P

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Haselby would be a very good addition to the team. He is a super talented ball winner who is also very consistent. Besides 2006 he has hardly missed a game and has averaged well over 20 touches.

Pace is all well and good, but I think we may overrate it just a little.

Look at some of the better midfield groups getting around, Swans, Cats, Hawks even the Pies... they aren't overly quick but they get the ball and use it well and make quick decisions... I'd take that over a lightning quick bloke who couldn' t win his own ball.

hasleby and 3rd round pick for our pick 2.

if no lower club on ladder bites then 3rd pick or they will get nothing and we get him regardless via psd as no one wants the guy at the lower end anyway.

i rekon he would be a good player, our midfield would like;

insides ; ball ,haselby
taggers; baker, attard
outsides; monty and dal
mixed; bangers and hayes

extra fodder; fiora, armo ???, birss

its starting to look more rounded as a mid field, not perfect but better than last yr and this yr i rekon.

p.s

gram and and xman gives us additional pace if they play half back flanks.

the bottom line is that he would add depth to our midfield rotation...

that's one more classy player to take the heat off Dal, Monty etc and 1 more classy player to make Birss and Armitage etc earn their spot into the team...

I'd give up a second rounder for him + maybe a GOP like mini

NO WAY.

Do NOT want him.

We need a different sort of player running through our midfield. We have been shown up for pace for 2-3 years now and taking Haselby won't fix that.

Good get.

Then trade him to West Coast for Judd.

If we can get a midfielder or onballer who can get first hands on ball centre bounces and around packs, and has top skills then I would be after that player. Fitness can be sorted as in preseason. I'm sure many Freo players would love to leave Freo. who are an undisciplined rabble.

Isn't that what Birss is being groomed to be?

Not sure, he certainly isn't as in and under as Thommo imo.

gets the ball lots and reminds me of stephen powell in some ways ie he wasnt quick either.

I'd be happy to give up a 2nd round pick as he probably has 100 games left in him

We got diddled by Freo over Heath Black - would be nice if we got a deal that evened it up.

brother no where near a first round he is a second round at best or a third round and player deal only

remember brother he wants to leave freo cant ask for too much
If that's the price then I'm sold. It'd be payback for Black.

Only (theorietical) caveat would be where he fits with the Saints salary cap.

I sincerely hope your connections are on the money.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
