They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

An undecided option would be useful.

As with political elections, the "undecided" (swinging) vote will be important.

Will people take the devil you know attitude, or will they consider an alternative?

The incumbents are at a disadvantage here ... those who support change are more likely to be proactive about it and vote.

Those who are satisfied with the status quo will often leave things be, and this may hurt the Butterss board.

Only 21 votes so far .... people are holding back !!

Not enough information at hand as to where Butterss expects to go, and where Westaway wants to take the direction of the club, beyond their first bit of information given.

Yes I would think that people are holding back
I voted that I am unsure.
It doesn't sound very positive for RB but strange things sometimes happen at sea so I'm not jumping out of the dingy just yet . . . the boat is wobbling a little though. I must admit the new ticket looks good from first glance.

I respect the work RB has done for the club in the past to at least wait for his response and consider it, but prior to today I did think there was room for new blood to help us push forward - not sure whether that’s just me procrastinating or not.

Edit: I fell overboard and am supporting the SFF ticket.

On reflection overnight these are my thoughts:-

I believe RB is gone.
I think he will stand down.

The 'positive' media the SFF group are getting will decide this election well before any EGM. It doesn't matter what the incumbents say/do now, it will be swept aside by the tidal wave of positive emotion for the challengers.

Whatever his faults, I don't believe RB is a complete idiot and he will see the groundswell of support for his opponents and go.

I just hope that the new boys repay the faith the members have in them by producing what they are claiming they will.

Nathan Burke is interested in what is best for the club.
No ego, proven saint, should be supported to the hilt !

RB would be a bit worried if he gets on SS.

I voted for change on here, but will give my real vote more thought....will need to hear both parties a bit more thoroughly

RB still has my vote...for now.

I'm still waiting of something of substance from the new crowd.

I'm more than willing to listen to their grand plan, but all I've heard so far is the new boys potting the board for getting us out of debt and trying to save some pennies in the process.

I was divided on this until i heard that the current board wanted to sue footy first for defamation over being called piss heads or something.
Just goes to show the current admin are only interested in themselves and not the club when there ready to go to court over a few sticks and stones comments but couldn't find the balls to fight for Bakes

I don't think there could be another poll that he could be talking about?

I'm still undecided as to which board will be better, but recent events; handling of the shot across the bow on drugs and alcohol, as well as making it look like the RB faction is in it for themselves, makes me lean towards SFF.

Whilst RB and co. have the runs on the board, SFF seems to have the business nouse to back this up with future success.

Still there are a lot more events to unfold before I send in my proxy vote.

Who knows whether Boards of Directors make a difference? Well, me at least . The next time Rod Butterss says something that makes the least amount of sense will be the first. I don't underestimate the problems of a Melbourne team attracting money at competitive rates against interstate clubs. In fact, it can't be done except with AFL intervention. Which is why no Melbourne based club will ever win the premiership. But while we are still in the game let's get the best off field team. Burke, Tommo and Mordy MAKE IT A DONE DEAL, for me.
