Very, very interesting....
"A board of a football club has to lead by example and we will be adhering to that -- that there be no illicit or illegal drugs taken by any board member," Westaway told the Herald Sun yesterday.
I heard a few rumours about personal fallouts at the club and why they happened.
An interesting quote this one. Is it out of left field? Or is it more direct than that?

Of course it is a direct swipe at RB's Board.rodgerfox wrote:"A board of a football club has to lead by example and we will be adhering to that -- that there be no illicit or illegal drugs taken by any board member," Westaway told the Herald Sun yesterday.

This is the way you 'throw dirt' when you don't want to be seen as 'throwing dirt'.

It isn't the first time I've heard it though.riccardo wrote:Sounds like Westaway is making a very serious accusation here.
Could it just be another dig at Butterss and co, or are there more grounds than that?
I also heard one well known ex-employee of the club was furious about it and friendships were ruined because of it.

A girl I work with lives with her partner, who is a presenter on Sport 927. About a year ago she mentioned to me that her partner had inreviewed someone very high up in St Kilda's hierarchy, and he told her that this guy was, well, off his head on a very addictive bubbly brown soft drink, and that this was an open secret in media circles.
So the mudslinging and smearing begins.
Interesting is the word for it RogerFox.
We hear these allegations mid season, and well blow me down, the FFS runs with it as an explosive allegation that is sure to get a back page.
does 2+2 always equal six?
Hope Nathan And Andrew are comfortable with this type of gutter politics.
Also good to see Lindsay Fox flushed out as the backer of this group.
I wonder if moneybag will repay the players he paid 20c in the dollar in 1984?
Or will FFS try to merge us with Carlton again.
Starting to get to see the real truth behind the faces of this challenge.
Not a bad thing, it was always going to get dirty. Makes a mockery of the people who reckon the club isn't split and isn't in turmoil
Nice to see the STKFC will stillbe a rich man plaything whoever gets in.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Up till that comment....I thought the alteranates were going ok and was leaning their way.
If they through any more s*** like that they will lose my respect real fast.
They need to win by putting up good solutions rather than making cheap accusations that they know people cannot actually refute.....

Let's not lose the point here. It's a disgrace if any of our club leaders and directors are doing drugs, especially at club functions. I for one support as policy of no drugs for the directors. If they are all not doing it then it shouldn't be an issue.

Some say that it is the reason the fabric of the club was torn 2 years ago.killa_gram wrote:Let's not lose the point here. I hear lots of things.
Some I take seriously, some I don't (ie. the gambling rumour).
This one I kind of did at the time, but we were winning so I didn't care.
Then I read the paper today and had a chuckle.

There is a lot of crap in this post.
It is well known that RB AND GT liked their glass of red on occassion and famously GT was once interviewed when he was quite merry when a radio station rang him at home.
To ramp this up by innuendo into the topic of the moment "Drugs"...is scurrelous and dirty pool.
