umpires killing the roos...and the game...

Post: # 452497Post stinger »

the roos are pushing sh!t up hill with a very pointy stick.......can't watch it anymore.......15 frees to two at one stage...stupid frees being paid to the sleepy hollow snipers...and obvious ones to the roos being missed......

Two shockers:

1. Thug Jr stands behind a Kangaroo at a ball-up in the Cats' forward line and locks arms. Free kick to Thug Jr for holding and a goal results.

2. Two Cats drag the ball underneath a Roo on his hands and knees and throw their arms up. Kangaroo throws himself backward with arms up to show he does not have possession. Free kick to Cats for holding the ball.

I guess it didn't really make that much of a difference, especially when a team wins by over 100 points.

It doesn't seem any team will be able to touch Geelong, its an awful sight to witness.

And hack pup is out again, bowled without troubling the scorers.

I actually tipped the Roos.

Saw a lot of Cats games this year live but thought the Roos were the one team that had their measure.

The Cats really are the real deal - no doubt about that now - not just the fact they finished clear ladder leaders.

Isn't it clear who the AFL needs/wants to win the flag this year? Got what they wanted with the Lions and their flags, then Sydney/South Melbourne, now Geelong..?

Brisbane and Sydney got AFL concessions ... what have Geelong got?

If you liked conspiracies Riewoldting, then you could say that that AFL waited to change the father/son rules until after Geelong had drafted Nathan Ablett and Tom Hawkins.

M. Scarlett
G. Ablett
M. Blake
N. Ablett
T. Hawkins

Take those players away and the Cats wouldn't have made the 8.

If you like conspiracies.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Tom Hawkins is the only one that others would have picked up at the time.

Their recruiting has been first class........take Joel Selwood for example. Like it or not the Cats are going to be a power team for a long time. They will win VFL also this year.

I hope we learn from their approach and GT, RB etc etc could have learnt a lot from their approach. This club needs a Brian Cook.

Geelong was awsome, BUT they are protected species, especially Gazza Jnr, no one can go near him without the microphoned maggots blowing the whistle. Kangas got absolutely slaughtered by the maggots in the first half.

Agree with that Stinger.Watched it on the tv and the Roos were crucified early..some unbelievably dodgy free kicks all going the Cats way...allowed them to get momentum early and the result was never really in doubt. Will be interesting to see how the Cats fair with some more reasonable treatment[call me an optimist  ]and when they are not in front early.Got a feeling that Port ,West Coast ,Hawthorn or Collingwood could be capable of getting off to a start against them and it would be interesting to observe how they will handle SUCH unfamilar territory....

Mind Demons can do some funny things in finals...time will tell 8-)

I got free tickets and went to the game today

The umpiring was SHOCKING... talk about robbing the roos till the game was out of their reach. The disgust that went around the ground when the free kick stat was showed on the scoreboard Half way thru the second scoreboard that it was 17 to 4 ... Then minutes into the 3rd qrt the stat went up again and this time it was 25 to 7.
Geelong had pretty much got their quoter of free kicks in any normal game by half time.

BTW my hate for geelong goes even deeper after today, they fans disgust me to tears. The stuff I was hearing out of their in bread mouths was so unsportsmanlike.

These poor nth supporters near me, I felt so sorry for them.. they had a load of geelong idiots behind them and they didn't stop on them all day... every time geelong scored they were leaning forward and yelling in their ears... Credit to the nth fans, they didn't respond and didn't bite back.
If that I had been me I would have just about being ready to smack'em.

Also what cracked me up was when we decided to leave around the 15 minute mark of the last qrt to beat the crowd... we walking up the stairs to the exit and this one geelong supporter looked at me and did the meow.. I laughed and said, you fool I don't even barrack for north.....he then started to mouth off and i just kept walking. btw I was not wearing any colours today so the fool wouldn't have a clue who the hell or if I barracked for anyone at all.

Ah one other story about today, when we were trying to get a car park I needed to swap lanes, well this ford falcon with a lady driving wearing all her geelong gear wouldn't let me in... as she went past (her window open and my hubby's window open) I said typically F**King arrogant geelong supporter..... SHE HEARD ME and if looks could kill I would be dead... but hey IT FELT GOOD
I know I am a shocker and i don't care, I suddenly become very bitchy when I am around geelong supporters.... the past has taught me to always be ready when it comes to their kind.

geelong supporters (even my friends who are) are the worst to go to the footy with, even when they're loosing. they have no respect for the opposition, i think they live in their own little world in g-town.

i didnt go to the game (obviously being in WA) but my boyfriend went (he's a roo's man) and he said his boy's played bad but the umpiring was the worst. he said he saw a geelong player sitting on a roo's players head and just blatant other disrespectful things. he said he had to move seats because of the geelong supporters sitting near him.

I was there too.
Agree with you re the umpires.
I actually thought North should have been in front at 1/4 time, given two of Geelongs goals were from dodgy, no make that totally corrupt free kicks.

There were numerous other incorrect decisions around the ground.
Holding the ball decisions that went Geelongs way, but when it was a Geel player tackled it always seemed to be play on.

Also tackles from behind were rewarded as free kicks to Geelong players and the same thing as a push in the back against North players.

The trend continued till well after half time.

I'm not saying that North deserved to win, but they would definitely have been right in it at half time had they not been crucified.

Laidley needs to raise this with Geishan.
I reckon there were at least thirty incorrect decision either paid against North or decisions not paid to North.
At best they might get a better run next week.

If I was a North supporter I would have been demented by half time.
I'll bet most of them are convinced there is a "Geelong" agenda.

are you guys for real

the roos get flogged, emabarrassed and humiliated and yet it is the umpires and an afl conspiracy

if you watch the game again you will see that in reality the roos were worse than appalling

their midfield were non existent, harvey , wells , etc could not get a kick

their forward line were smashed

and their defence were simply over whelmed

the cats played at times some of the best football you will ever see, carving through the midfield corridor

boy umpires and conspiracy... get a grip
