Touchy subject, but do you think Ball could get us anything.
At the trade table.
I love the bloke, but let's admit, he's a shadow of his former self. If another team thinks he's worth the punt, and would give up a quick, hard working mid, would we take it? Put aside the emotion, and it's gotta be worth looking at.

Because of injury we wouldnt get much for him so lets just hope we get him right and he can play to at least 90%.Winmarvellous wrote:At the trade table.

Would give up much more than a the player in my opinion...this guy has character to burn and a decision like that would come back to bite the bum when the body was right.....this guy is part of the intangible class of this group...mess with it at the clubs longterm peril
Never take a backward step even to gain momentum.....

No trade....but he should have been rested since at least the Collingwood game. He is an enormous talent that we continue to treat with a very short sighted approach.
I reckon the great game he played against the Hawks where he racked up posis, all of a sudden kicked the ball 50m and got his dash back ...for 1 game!!!... he must've taken a shot, had some painkillers pre-game...and reminded us of what he can do....however, if this is the case it is irresponsible management, and now he and the team are paying the cost as he had to miss a week and then was pretty ineffective vs the Eagles last week....we can't trade him but we should invest the time into getting him right...he still has another 5-6 years in him if well managed...if not, another 2 at most!

Luke Ball has it all in front of him. The Boss (a.k.a. Ross) still refuses the OP line. It is tendonitis. Ergo, it's fixable. Judd's got a problem, too. Lyon's rationale is reasonable - Ball won the B & F in 2005. Has he got worse? Yes, no, maybe? Time to stand up Luke.

Not sure what we'd get for him. We know he's capable of more, other clubs would see drafting him as a big risk though.

Hope Luke doesn't read this post.
Saint Patrick is spot on the money, it is folly not to fight tooth and nail for this bloke, because that's what he brings to the club. He is held in the utmost regard and we would certainly be eating at the very fabric of the team. Remember that a lot of the players could command many more bucks elsewhere but they want to stay together, simply put.
Keep the dream alive, dude, and when Bally gets himself right....stand back and be amazed !

the boys make a committment to stay together ..
we are wrapped ....see the benefits, the possibilities
but
as soon as one of the boys cop an injury (in a brutal sport ) we wanna trade em
we gotta be joking .......loyalty is a two way street.......theres plenty of sad sacks in this world talking the walk ........wheres the guts to walk the talk
strength through loyalty .....my hairy pink arse.........gutless
edit....and thats not a go at 'posters'....... its a go at the 'attitude'
(which i dont think we can entertain for 1 second)
