If it's not RED WHITE AND BLACK .. its no one.
If St Kilda were to merge, fold or whatever.. as far as I am concerned AFL would no longer be apart of my life.
I might go and watch Casey or start following the soccer.
Now if St Kilda hadn't been around when I started to follow the saints. BTW I was brain washed at a very early age and pretty much had half my family trying to get me to says Saints before mum and dad.. ( and not complaining about that mind you)
But if I had not been brain washed and got to decide myself it would have been either Carlton, Kangaroos or (GRINDING MY TEETH) Geelong....
Why...... because when I was a kid my favorite colour was blue and I am sure I would have picked a team that wears blue....
The scary thought about it is I love animals and the colour blue as a child and I just have this horrible feeling it might had been geelong... (oh please someone grab me a SHARP knife now)

In Ross Get lost!
I am excited to stay at St Kilda and this is a great result for the Club and all our fans. I’m proud to be part of the Saints and am pleased to be playing football with the Clubâ€

San Francisco 49ers, because Jerry Rice is the greatest athlete of all time.
Having said that I live and breathe St Kilda and absolutely love Robert Harvey.
We lost on Friday night, but I won.
I came home on the train with to one of nature's gentlemen (probably second only to Harves), premiership rover, Brownlow medalist, St Kilda captain Ross Smith. A great and very humble man.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

well since leaving melbourne and moving to nsw ive tried to follow an NRL team but i cant seem to find the same passion for the Knights as i do for the Saints. So to answer the question of the thread i would never follow another team in the afl if the saints were no more but i would really concertrate on NRL as its an awsome game,i can watch all 8 games every week and enjoy all of them, whereas i can only watch one game of AFL a week and to hell with the rest :):)

I've always sort of had Richmond as my second team. I just couldn't support Carlton, Collingwood or Essendon - too rich, too smug - I just enjoy watching anyone beat them (until the interstate teams came along!).
While I was growing up in New York I always hated the New York Yankees baseball team because they won all the time and I really enjoyed watching anyone "knock them off their perch", so that explains my attitude to the teams above. I guess I've always been an "underdog" type of supporter.
Richmond is a little bit like us in that they have a huge supporter base when they get going and they are not rich like the above teams. I was also influenced by seeing them from '67 -'82 and I just enjoyed the fast free flowing high scoring game style that they played. I remember watching Royce Hart playing in the 1966 Reserves Grand Final (before our match against Collingwood) and thinking "this guy is going to be great". As it turned out I was right! I guess it's fair to say that I was influenced by who was successful at the time that I started following footy (1966), like "Saint Bev" was for Hawthorn.
The Richmond supporters do "eat their own" at times and this is a bit off putting, but most of the players seem to remain loyal, so that's a "plus". I do enjoy watching them knock off any other team (except us).
Mind you, I've now also got a soft spot for the Bulldogs because they have been without success almost as long as us, but I want us to have two Premierships before they do.

Before the farcicial decisions we've copped the last two years, I would have said Carlton (second favourite team and my mum and sisters go for them) (once again, I have to reiterate if you mention this in a post in disgust I will ignore you as I have explained this in virtually every post I've made)
Now however, I think I'd follow Collingwood cos my girlfriend and housemates all support them....
AS IF!!!!!!! nah, if St.Kilda folded NOW, I would probably turn to rugby league (which means learning the rules) and follow the Melbourne Storm (I have a soft spot for all Melbourne sides, but I don't follow them)
Seriously, no St.Kilda - NO AFL for me...
