They wanted it badly.
They have the ability to hit targets.
They don't have Jason Blake, Shane Birss, Jayden Attard and Leigh Fisher in their team.
They don't have blokes who skirt the contest.
They run hard. They run very hard.
They run quick and with purpose.
They knew what to do at the stoppages.
They don't have Matthew Clarke in their team.
They have a hard working full-forward.

Lynch is taller and bigger - didn't seem to impede him from working his arse off at every opportunity.Saint Corin wrote:Fraser works hard, clearly injured and is yesteryears prototype Full Forward, but still a bit harsh.evertonfc wrote:

When did Fraser get injured?

We lacked class...
They had Cox, Cousins, Priddis who killed us through the middle in the second half...

yeah we actually had 2 more scoring shots.
I really dont want to bag the players on their effort. It just makes me sick that a guy who told the truth and didnt do anything wrong is sitting in the stands while a guy who chooses to break the law (drugs are illegal) is seen as a hero and receives no punishment for bringing the game into disrepute.
thats what makes me sick, double standards

I agree, I'm going to bend over in front of some West Coast fans.Lenny_Hayes7 wrote:You kind of get use to the saints letting you down nothing changes.
On the bright side the cricket starts soon lol.
It's just easier not demanding anything from our club, I guess.

Their ruckman dominated. Their midfield smashed us. Cousins really cut loose.
Their defence was toopowerful and our forward line looked inept at times. Glass was outstanding
Yet with seconds to go we were 2 points down.
Perspective please.
Free kicks even my foot. Some of the decisions not paid bordered on the ludicrous. Protected species ...
Brave effort to fight it out to the end.

We put in the best effort possible against a team that was clearly overwhelming us as the night wore on.
Our bench was shot. Attard off, X severly restricted, Ball obviously not right.
Pathetic umpiring decisions - advantage joke leading to goal.
Clearly playing a superior side in an increasingly stronger position. Brave to battle to the end.
Sorry if the word brave offends you.
With a name like Lenny Hayes that surprises me.

Tonight we showed just why we have been off the mark the past couple of years.
At times we just don't maintain the intensity or concentration needed to be a premiership side. We turn the ball over with reckless kicks from defense, lack accuracy in front of goal and into 50 and sometimes look to be spectating around stoppages.
I have said to mates for the past couple of years if we could maintain concentration at levels like the Swans, the great Brisbane or the Eagles we could border on greatness.
Alas, we lack the fortitude to excel.
