Following the appeals hearing that was conducted this evening, the case involving Steven Baker has been dismissed, with the outcome ruling Baker guilty. The seven match suspension therefore remains.

St Kilda Football Club is bitterly disappointed with the result, however the Club’s immediate focus is on Friday night’s game against the Eagles.No additional comment will made by the Club until further notice.

Please elaborate.... for those in Sydney at the time... pre-internet.... pre any info at all re footy in Sydney news.

We acquired Paul Morwood and Silvio Foschini in ... round 4/5? ... and played them without a clearance. Neither wanted to play for Sydney.

Silvio went to court and Morwood just ran out from memory.

None exist under the AFL Rules so what are they ?
Seems to be a lot of baying for blood but not a lot of real world thinking on how it gets done

The only option once the AFL RUles are exhausted is to abandon those rules and go to the courts. But on what basis ?

7 fk'n weeks!!! I'm flabbergasted! Dudes, that's 1/3 of a season!!! For what? Stopping running...ok..propping... so fk'n what!!! He didn't turn round and king hit Farmer! What's bloody going on here? 7 fk'n weeks!!! Priors... shhhmiors!

7 WEEKS... HELLO... are you guys awake? Farmer's cred rose with his statement... good on him. The tribunal refusing to hear Farmer's letter is absolutely stupid.

Lawyer.. Your Honer we have some important evidence pertaining to this case we'd like to put forward". Judge... "No sorry, evidence taking hours are over.... I sentence this man to death"

7 WEEKS!!! How do you reckon Bakes feels? This guy has risked life and limb even when the outcome of a game has been decided. He never gives up. Bakes is the icon of what I feel it is to be a Sainter. He deserves better from us fans than... maybe this'll spur us on. To what?... a couple of hollow finals appearances? With out Bakes?

Tonights decision by the AFL effectively ended my interest in this year. The only slim chance of any further interest I can see is if somehow the Pies make the GF. Another loss by them would warm my heart... a little. Saints are done and dusted. Not the players... I love them but they are not playing on a level field.... the AFL winds are continually blowing against us in the final quarter.

I knew we were in trouble when Dimwit took over... I just didn't realize how bad it could be.

AOK, i have wanted to post something along them lines myself all night... I am still very p*ssed off about the whole thing and just didn't know how to put in words what i was thinking.... your rant is welcomed

I am far from not happy with the 7 weeks. Yet it's now time to move on. We have a huge game this weekend. We really need to be up & firing.

We should keep a mental note of the disgracefull hand out to Baker... It's about time the AFL looked after the older clubs, not the new clubs.

I am tipping we will win by 21 points.
