So no one actually sees Bakes do anything = suspended
ANYONE who watch the video saw Judd eye gouge (not to mention the Hawks player heard on audio pointing it out to ump = get off scott free.....
Kerr punches guy in nuts......says I was aiming for leg (still a punch is it not) = gets off scott free
Bakes swing in the air...hits nothing = suspension.
AFL is completely even handed = not

No, channel 10 and other news media outlets have said that...not the AFL.The_Dud wrote:the AFL has said there is no video, no such camera exists.....Krikkett wrote:Who has said that there isn't video?
The AFL has stationary camera's with a wide view for umpire training...I'd suggest they picked up the incident.

Just got home to hear the verdict and are absolutely roppable
Heard the evidence coming through on SEN ON the way to the gym where the Freo runner said he didn't see the point of contact to which David Schwartz said "this is aa absolute joke and he must get off".
The club must appeal and if that fails it must go the legal process...
This decision threatens the very credibility of what was once a great game and competition...players just cannot be suispended on innuedo and hearsay....If this farcical decision stands I will walk away from this game for my sanity

Actually being bloodied and laying in a pool of your own blood does sometimes occur because of your own stupid actions.Saints Premiers 2006 wrote:i expected it...it would have been put up to the tribunal if there was nothing in the incident
and people should not get cranky at jeff farmer either...blood noses and being stunned on the ground doesnt happen over nothing...whether intentional or not
and no alcoholic jokes about farmer either...its been done to death
And proof read your line I bolded - it would never have been put up before the tribunal if there was nothing in it - which we are yet to find out because we haven't heard all the tribunal knew beforehand.
Will be interesting to read what the rat said tonight "via phone" after having no recollection earlier.
And why so touchy about Farmer's alcohol problem? We have no problem getting stuck into Cuz over his drug problem? Pretty sure both have admitted to it being an issue. I'm sure other supporters would get stuck into our blokes over lesser issues.

Typical.
Another foul tasting, fkn bile generating decision.
THis is another reason why I am lost to the AFL.
So over it.
Hall can do what he wants, the lions can do what they want....break Lenny's hand or Roo's shoulder....
but look out if a PART TIME Freo trainer dobs you in....
What a farce.
Media driven farce.

"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....
If it wasn't for the love of this club I would be watching something else, heck the netball is better then this now.
Might just head down to the rugby union sat night insteed.
Anyone want my membership, seriously sick to death of this s***!

It doesn't really matter if you saw it, the afl need to be able to prove it, as opposed to Baker having to disprove it. From what we've heard they couldn't do that so it should of been thrown out.sainter58 wrote:i posted it earlier. I saw what happened and he is guilty. You can all be judges but did any of you see the incident.
I DID
I'm not doubting your word sainter58 the afl need to follow the correct proceedure, and again they haven't.
The AFL is a joke, and if the Saints don't at least try and fight this I will really struggle to renew my membership if the same board are running the show next year.

THERE WAS NO VIDEO EVIDENCE!! The AFL have admitted there is none.
The prosecutorial evidence was:-
Jeff Farmer - didn't see anyone and didn't know who made contact with him
Freo Trainer - didn't see the impact and was shown to have no real clue about what was going on.
Medical evidence - Farmer had a broken nose and concussion
Defence evidence:-
Baker's version of events. Ricky Nixon backing Baker's version of events. Medical evidence that Baker had a bump on the back of his skull consistent with Farmer running into him.

How's it go?
Better to hang an innocent man than hang no man at all.
Especially if he's wearing red, white and black.

...I doubt that very much.

I have been thinking and reading about tonights decision by the tribunal on one of ours again.
I have decided that if the St Kilda football club lays down and does nothing on this occasion, as they have previously, it is time for me after 40+ years to give the club and the game away.
I really cannot put up with any more garbage that is thrown our way, especially against Freo.
The AFL themselves actually need to step in here and ask questions, on how the tribunal reached such a decision.
