BUT...

We need to properly manage the bottom four very carefully and get them as fit as possible for 2008, or they will battle.

It's my belief that all five 'YES' players have a very big upside, which is worth persisting with.

Gehrig comes into my mind as trade bait. If we could squeeze a first round pick out of someone, or a top 20 pick, I'd be all over that. You never know who might give it up. If no trade can be arranged, then keep him. Voss as well, but for a top 40 pick - if not, then keep him.

Raymond, Thompson and Clarke are almost certainties to give it away or be delisted, which gives us our quota.

It's my belief that the club won't go down a rebuilding path in 2008, but if it did, I'd suggest perhaps only Michael Gardiner would be a player worth keeping. An odd call, but we need a quality ruckman like crazy.

Hamill would be a chance too, but I fear his body is completely shot.
