Yes I noticed that too - not much doubt, there was a change to the momentum of the game when Ackland was off.........twaq wrote:jon hiseman wrote:Ackland. First I thought it might be McGough - but Ackland is more likely to be a regular than McGough or Fiora - just because of where he plays.............
After watching last nites game it was obvious that as soon as Ackland went off and GT brought Stone into the Ruck was when Hawthorn began their run on. Ackland also in my opinion beat the best tap ruckman in the league last night. It is for these reasons that i think the Big Axe will have the most influence out of all the new guys in 05.

I'd say the majority were correct- Cain Ackland made a greater mark
although Mini and james made impact statements
taking the poll from the Saints site who will it be In 2006

As a long term planner and forward thinker, I voted for Jimmy.

Re: Which Saints recruit will have the most impact in 2005?
Everything's easy in hindsight! Those 2005 recruits weren't the best bunch we've ever had. Thank god Gwilt's turned into a player. He came from the most humble background of the lot too i.e. Noble Park.
